His father and grandmother were hardcore homophobes. This definitely contributed to Jeffrey’s pathology and actions. “Dr. Palermo, in conclusion, told the court that the murders were the result of 'pent up aggression within himself. He killed those men because he wanted to kill the source of his homosexual attraction to them. In killing them, he killed what he hated in himself.' “

This all started when his mom left him by himself for 3 months without any help or communication and he went completely nuts and started acting out on his compulsions. I’m pretty sure leaving your mentally unstable child alone for 3 months out of spite for a failing marriage is illegal.

He was clearly very insane. He couldn't have any feelings to do all that he did. He couldn't love or have feelings for anyone, he basically just wanted to have a sex slave, like a living doll he could completely control, 'cause he was so obsessed with controlling men; and whom he could permanently keep with him at all costs, as he was so afraid of abandonment and loneliness. He only saw men as sexual objects, like simple sex toys, and not as people with feelings. He was so selfish, he didn't care about these guys feelings, dreams, the whole life they had ahead of them. All he cared about what himself and fulfilling his sick sexual fantasies. He was truly a MONSTER

Burn in Hell, Jeffrey Dahmer. Your Parents are innocent, and it makes you angry? Bitch, you have no right to feel like that. Whats with the Men you killed? There was innocent too. They trust you and you killed them. EVEN 2 CHILDREN. AAHGHHH! Im talking like, he is still a life. But this Fucker (littery Fucker)make me so angry. I hate Netflix for this. i sai it again, Jefrrey Dahmer has no right to speak like that. SO SHUT THE FUCK UP. DHAA!!! Burn in hell and drinking Fire you Bastard. What a terrible Human!!! And bye the way, Of course his Parents are fault. Leaving a 18 year old boy alone? Years later, he abused a child and the father wanted him to move out to live alone. Red Flag, Bitch. With something like this, you have to keep an eye on your child 24 hours a day. Jeffrey did such shit when he lived with his grandma, did they never think about what he's going to do when he's alone? Idiots.

This happens because of teo reasons. And one of them is not having a mother. Believe it or not fathers subconsciously hold competition to their sons . They usually never truly wish for them to succeed over them unless they feel you are under them somehow. Thats why a lot of men only grown with dads turn up bisexual of some sort. And also why its essential for you to .

What I find interesting is the way he defends his parents. He seems to genuinely care about them. I've seen an interview with his father, it was clear Dahmer was raised in a normal household with loving parents

He was like a modern day Picasso. The creativity in how he did his work is different from others and he wanted what he did to stay within himself and close to him, which was pure and honest art itself...

Oh yeah Picasso is the first thing that comes to mind when I think of Dahmer. Picasso was able to convey pains of war and being human through his paintings, and then Dahmer… who liked to jerk off into human skulls. Truly similar!

I think this is exactly why Jeff was, and still is considered to be the most fascinating serial killer. He never blamed anyone, or past traumas, he only blame himself, till the end. calm and collected, helped the police identify all of the victims, and cooperated as much as he could. Deep down, he was just not right in the head, and needed help. Sometimes I find myself even feeling a bit. Sorry for him. can't imagine the pain, the victims families and victims themselves had to endure.

Well, I think it was a combination of things--- I've been watching the Netflix show and studying him on youtube. 1. His Mom abused drugs while she was pregnant with him. 2. He was affected as a kid by the fractured relationship of his parents. 3. Because of number 2 & 1 he would get picked on at school and excluded. 4. All of the above caused him to feel incredible alienated to such a degree that he couldn't make bonds with people anymore. 5. He was gay which was alienating. 6. His Mother (a hypochondriac and sedative abuser) avoided him when he was very young because she thought he would catch her "infections". Now imagine a little boy growing up without maternal affection. That would affect him a lot I think. I think its that in particular that is the most insidious. I'm guessing his mom and dad fought and he got zero attention during his brains development as a toddler. 7. He had internalized his sense of alienation to such a degree that he couldn't see himself as normal, so he had to live an alternative life. 8. (most important) So when someone gets addicted to sex(this is just my op.) and it has an unhealthy sexual nature, the tendency is for the sex addict to continue chasing the high, the high you get from the act, but like any addiction it begins to lose its efficacy. SO, he had to escalate the things he was doing to 'get off'. This is why porn addiction always leads to the most extreme stuff because all addictions require escalating doses of intensity and sometimes, "novelty". The fact that he was having no trouble meeting Gay men and establishing sexual relationships with them shows that he could have had friends If He Wanted it. Instead, he didn't want to have sex with these guys, because he couldn't control them. I don't think the sense of control stems from a sense of "they want to leave me" its more, "I cant get what I need unless I can do whatever I want to them" Psychosexual addiction can only lead to perceiving people into objects for your pleasure and addiction. Now...I'm speculating but I think he was addicted to the high he would get from these elaborate rituals, and keeping the skeleton. That was the novelty side of it. The intensity was in the way he tried to turn his victims into catatonic zombies so they would stay and he could prolong it. Along with the pervading sense of alienation, he felt he practically had to 'abduct' someone. My point being is that his actions are 85% a psychosexual addiction, we can't say "he was lonely so he kept the skeletons." I don't buy that. I think keeping them actually increased the pleasure he would get sexually. Why else did he have so many victims? If he was truly lonely, he wouldn't take someone's autonomy. That would make him lonely again. Dahmer wouldn't admit this part in his interviews and such because its so heinous that you could be sexually addicted to objectifying people in such a stark way for your own pleasure, NOT because you are "lonely". He wouldn't admit that. ... The question I am left with is, why was his sexual drive so strong that he couldn't control himself? All men deal with this. Maybe because of all of these reasons, he just couldn't be an empathetic person anymore. We also have to consider the drug abuse his Mom was inflicting on him in the womb. I find Dahmer fascinating because I want to know how people like him are made. So I can understand what is evil in this world better.
