Love this cover. Countdown is one of if not my favorite piece of music, and this absolutely does it justice. Your voice lends itself so well to the lyrics that I feel like I'm hearing the song for the first time again, and I can feel every bit of passion you put into this through your voice and your guitar playing. Thank you!

This clip was an excellent starting point for me to nail this song. It was a favourite of mine since it was released so I know the the nuances really well. This isn't perfect BUT I wouldn't have got anywhere near playing it well without this tutorial. I'd like to sit down with this guy and compare how we both play it.

Thanks. Just keep playing and singing. Eventually you'll get used to it. But yeah it's tricky sometimes in songs like this that have some unique parts.

Hi Greg great version and channel. Marr's instagram post and your version helped me start my lockdown project to do a live version of every recorded smiths song one a day during covid lockdown 1. Your video helped me make Cemetary gates one of the better versions i managed :0) some of the rest need a revisit:0) kzfaq.info/get/bejne/nd-JeJVnv5O8iIU.htmlsi=2gEQwFH19TXSXPZC

Thank you so much for taking the time to create this tutorial! This is my favorite Smiths song and I've always had trouble learning how to play their songs, so you can imagine how happy I feel now that I finally learned how to play it. Thank you!
