PH changes will affect enzymes like everything else that's probably why the salt works well. I'm finding tea tree oil on a new bandaid every 12 hours resolves things within about 24-48 hours. It's called functionalization in chemistry for those curious. (acids/alks, hydroxyls, etc)

Lol.. I tried all that myself last night. I could have saved 2 hours if I had watched this. You are correct leaving the areas open for the sun to fade. I had a laminated wooden floor fade.
