I've seen a few at the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania but I'd imagine that the paints modern so I don't really know if that was true originally. Born too late... 🤷‍♂️

I was too young to remember them in their day and can only go by pictures myself . No expert here . Just my opinion as a PRR fan

I've thought about that but I've never tried weathering before. I'll probably do it someday but I'd want to get a few cars or other cheaper things than the locomotive under my belt first.

@@MrMiz1113 yes, getting practice on weathering on the rolling stock until you feel comfortable with your results.Then tackle the locomotives . There’s lots of videos/ books about weathering. youtube is a great resource.

Vermillion reminds me of trying to find the right shade of red for my RMS Mauretania and QM2 models 🤣

It reminds me of the episode of Futurama where the gang goes to Mars University whose motto was 'knowledge brings fear.' Fear might be a bit much but frustration certainly isn't... Fun sidebar I use the phrase knowledge brings fear translated into Latin as SCIENTIA ADDO VEREOR as my motto in my email signature block back when I was in Iraq. Not sure if they do that anymore, but it was something of a fad back when I was in....
