Saw this Monday, wow, what a show! Well done both. I only have just realised that the radio shows ran for three series - could you do this for all the nine TV series??!!

Victoria Wood remains something of an enigma. No doubt she was a genius and could be very nice, but her authorised biography "Let's do it" paints another side of her character. A lot of her friends and co-stars confirm she could also be a very sullen, jealous and a somewhat unpleasant person. What I found interesting is how the people you most associate with her (Julie Walters, Celia Imre and Duncan Preston) all had rather distant and sometimes antagonistic relationships with her as the years progressed. Julie Walters said their relationship had become a working one and she hadn't been to her house in years. She also said that she wouldn't tell Victoria anything personal as Victoria would have no qualms about then using it as a sketch. Victoria apparently also wanted it made clear when she did "As Seen on TV" that it was no longer "Wood & Walters". Celia Imre said she often felt bullied by Victoria. Duncan Preston said Julie Walters had to intervene on his behalf to get him the part on "Pat and Margaret" as Victoria had no faith in him. She still made him read for it. Dawn French also testified to how difficult Victoria could be. She said their comic relief sketch was very difficult due to Victoria's obsessiveness (Victoria was also very touchy about who got credit, and wanted it made clear that she'd written it, not Dawn). Dawn also mentioned how difficult Victoria was when she came to stay in Cornwall. She demanded to change rooms and when Dawn took her to a beach, she sat and sulked. Dawn lost her rag with her. Sadly, some of Victoria's bad side extended to her fans. Bits had to be edited out of the south bank show when she was recorded being unpleasant about some women coming to her show. She also said that she didn't want to play theatres with audiences "full of gay men". Perhaps the most revealing line is when her ex husband said that she said about some of her fans "Oh god. They think I'm actually the woman they see on the Tele." The overall picture is one of a highly complex woman who never recovered from the appalling neglect from her mother in her childhood (a recurring theme in her work).

Agree completely. Very contrived and insincere with more than a hint of political correctness. No sense of atmosphere at all!

Me and my friend Ida Kiani are 'delighted' to see this. HAHAHAH. We would love to bring our friend George Lammiman but he will be unable to attend unless you have any relaxed performences as he has severe learning difficuties and struggles with light intesity. Perhaps some free tickets would do the job. HAHAHAHAH.

Great to see Annie celebrated here for her incredible creations and her dedication to ''Our Dan'' a Star like no other. The 'Pink' Dolly dress here can be seen in action on the KZfaq video ''The Good Old Days Selection 8 with Danny La Rue''. Also the 'Red' dress used for the famous 'Hello Dolly' routine from the show, both worn by Danny on the last night of The Good Old Days in 1983.
