In 1971 I couldn't afford to get the Z28 package so I almost got the '71 SS396 because it was less than around $300. Had 300 HP, 30 less than the Z but had more torque and 3.42 gears. I believe Chevy only built around 600 and only 200 were 4 speeds. Shoulda woulda coulda oughta BUT DIDN'T!!!!

My first car was a yellow 1972 Gremlin. Later i got a 74 black on black 304 V8 Gremlin. So much fun. Miss those days.

Slug engines. I had a z28 pace car 1983. Slug cross fire 🔥 crap. Crap crap crap. Even Chevy fastest car that year was GUTLESS. Corvette 200.hp cross fire 350. Gutless worst engines Chevrolet ever made. Not that Chevy makes any good motors. This is the worst of worst

Neil, actually that is an incorrect statement. The rear lights under the rear bumper was included on the “RS” Package. This car does not have the RS package so the back up lights are correct. I hope you enjoyed the video?! Thanks for viewing. 👍

I almost bought one in '74 for $400. Test drove it off a lot and got caught in the rain. Almost killed myself on the way back, and didn't buy it. The 400 heavy front end and the light rear were not a good combination.

To be correct this Z/28 should have a silver front grill, zero none RS Camaros came off the assembly line with a black front grill the only Z/28s that came with black front grills were RS Z/28s !

I to had an art teacher who had a 67 with the 400 convertible maroon color he would take 3 students at a time for a spin after school i loved that car too bad he was busted for smoking weed and was fired fond memories of that car

We're sure it's sold. Nice resto. Good panel alignment. I remember those green ones around in the day. Not a fan of vinyl tops, automatics, or A/C, but love the fact it's the 1st year bird, that started it all. Effective video.
