Gota question. I have a 14 WRX. What I noticed while removing mine is that there was a hose (vacuum hose in assuming) but I don’t where it belongs to. Do you know what it might be? P.s. it wasn’t the hose that wasn’t the hose attached to the BPV.
@mustangman4valve2 жыл бұрын
If you follow the hose where does it go to? Hard to say. Probably not related to the intercooler. Only vac line is to the bpv. But where does this vac line go to? Can you follow It?

correct me if I'm wrong, but wouldn't this be a perfect video for those who wish to clean out their Throttle Body? (asking for a friend) :)
@ecpoirier3 жыл бұрын
TIP: if you remove the rubber "Coupler" (2:19), you'll gain some sort of tight access to your throttle body. now would be a good time to clean that out. I found other video's confusing, because their throttle body was located right under intercooler, but with my 2010 WRX, it was buried, just a bit further down. I'm not all that mechanical, so if I can do it, anyone can. P.S. To make removing intercooler easier, I removed driver's side bracket that held the 12mm bolt, freeing up some additional space to remove, it was secured with 2 more 12mm bolts, closer to the plastic intake manifold.

You should add a lift knob. There's a guy on Ebay that sells them for the 783 for like $40. Worth it I think.

do you have a video on how to set the right position for a silicone for the wrx impresa 2012 model? I´ve tried different ways and its not working.

The 08 intercooler is so small compared to an 11 or 14 I doubt you need to remove it to install the downpipe? Nice video btw.
@mustangman4valve4 жыл бұрын
You will not need to remove it to remove the downpipe. The 09 wrx was the first year of the 265hp version. 08s different turbo I believe too. I've removed my downpipe many times without touching the intercooler.

I bet if you used some good match grade Hornady it would shoot the same hole. a side note here, these are more accurate than the Savage Axis. I bought an axis for the same money and could not get better than 1 and a half groups. and even then the groups weren't consistent.
@7minutegunreview4697 жыл бұрын
used to own one in a 270. it was always shooting below inch and a quarter groups. when I did my part it would shoot sub inch 3 shots nearly touching

italianrelic where did you hear this? I know people with the Lyman and the one entry level model is so flimsy and thin that the body actually flexes when you trim. this redding trimmer is solid. it weighs like 4lb and it's tiny. it has trimmed very consistently for me. from my experience it's a very Good trimmer.

what scope rings and bases are you using?
@mustangman4valve7 жыл бұрын
Infidel305 they are basic slotted weaver bases. the front AND back bases for the 783 are the same as the FRONT base for a model 700. rings are Medium height weavers. don't remember model and doesn't say on them
@forbiddenfruit58827 жыл бұрын
ok, thanks for the reply, im putting a primary arms 4-14x44 ffp mil/mil on mine so I had a hell of a time getting info on the base, crappy rings and crapier scope that came on the rifle. I dont know why it seems like your bases are 2 different sizes in the video. can you tell me how much clearance you got on the bottom of the front objective?

I want to buy Vortex Crosfire 3-9x50 scope,please tell me is it strong enough to be mounted on 30-06 rifle?
@mustangman4valve8 жыл бұрын
+vilinkonjicrakun yes, the crossfire will hold up on a 30-06. ive had these scopes on 270 WSM with no problems, however whats much more important then people think for holding a zero is to properly mount the scope with proper torque specs. the tube of the scope can easily be crushed by over torquing rings, which can cause bad tracking and not holding a zero. if mounted properly the crossfire will do just fine on a 30-06.

Hi Nick, what loads have you found work well in this rifle ?
@mustangman4valve9 жыл бұрын
Hornady Superformance sst 150gr have been really good. The American Eagle Fmj 150gr work okay too. They are alittle inconsistent. Also had decent groups with the fusion 150gr. Haven't tryed to alot of rounds. But out of those the hornady shot the best.

Seriously i really dont know why more people have them or at least make videos on them its been around for 2 years now , i want a big channel to do some hard core testing so i can feel better about my rifle. And for them to mod them out to see what i could do to it and make it more popular so we get a bigger after market selection like the 700s have.

@mustangman4valve9 жыл бұрын
Nope. Works great
@dyet139 жыл бұрын
Nick What type of base mounts did you use? Sorry for the many questions.
@mustangman4valve9 жыл бұрын
sorry for the late reply, i broke my leg and have been busy with that, my bases are weavers, the front mount is the same as the model 700. as well as the rear. so if you buy 2 front bases for a model 700, they will work for the front and back, the rings are also weavers, not 100% what there name is, and theres no marking on them.

I just brought the same rifle also in .308 win from Cabelas, but the scope is The Burris signature select 4-16x44 also with the bdc reticle out to 500 yards, and I ordered and still waiting for a set of 783 integral scope mount from Remington Country Canada for the 783, did you have a chance to take it out to shoot it yet?

Great video, I have the 783 in .270 Cal ,its a great rifle ,I bought mine here in manitoba.wish you explained how you installed the bipod, I have the same one on my 22 rifle. I would like to transfer it over.
@mustangman4valve9 жыл бұрын
thanks! here is some tips for uninstalling and installing bipid..If you flip the rifle upside down, take a look at the bottom of the bipod, there will be a Philips screw head with a plastic ring around the outer side of it, loosen that screw, and it will release the pressure off the two little nipples that go in each side if the swivel stud on the rifle, then it should come off with some wiggling, same thing for installing it, make sure that philip screw head is lose, and line the two nipples up into the swivel stud on each side it, and tighten the screw and it will snug up!

how is it recoil in .308 being such a light rifle? any issues with it so far?

The recoil is not near as bad as i was thinking it to be when i bought it, I can shoot this rifle all day long and not have a sore shoulder after. the recoil pad definitely does a good job. I also haven't had any issues so far with it, i have only owned it for about a year though but so far so good
