I wonder if his life would have been different if his brother hadn't done those things.

The 2020 re-release of her updated MY PHANTOM PRINCE details a fairly different story that these clips do when they're glued together. In particular, the King County policewoman Kathleen McChesney is quite a villain in this tale, as she interviewed Liz extensively and her reports were full of lies or errors that Liz tried to correct - but McChesney never did. These created pools of misinformation for other investigators to wallow in and stumble around, missing a lot of search options. Also, Liz had observed Ted's blackhearted terror as he let daughter Molly experience the terror of drowning. After that weekend, Ted was no longer visiting them, and it wasn't until many years later that Molly opened up about Ted's sexual advances. In Molly's new chapter-addendum to that re-released book, she discusses this and how Florida's Kimberly Leach was Molly's age - 12, and the horror that a few years earlier, that could have been Molly's fate. It's a powerful book, full of episodes showing Liz's stupidity and naiveté - embarrassingly so. I consider her so brave to keep those many chapters in her book (first published in 1981). For any Ann Rule fans, Liz's re-release details several untruths that Ann created for her own publicity.

He seems to be in shock. He trusted and loved his brother. Finding out your brother is a serial killer is mind blowing. Unimaginable really.

YOU SHOT HER TWICE and you over here saying it was an accident, you've had 30 years to get your story straight and you think you gonna fool everyone and make them feel sorry for you?? You're also planning to work for Shakira so you must be really confident

Of all the serial killers i have read about, over the years, Ted Bundy, is the most fascinating to me. The interview he did with Dr Dobson, on the eve of his execution is chilling, but also, a great study case. His manipulation was on show for all to see. The way he looks with his head bowed, you can actually see the pure evil that lies within, his predatory look chills me to the bone. May all his victims, rest in peace, and their families, try and move on.

I don't know how long it was before Debra Kent's disappearance was linked to Ted. Ted 'lost' Carol, but still in his murderous rage, drove across town and found Debra Kent and took her to kill.

I believe serial killers are born that way, not made that way by life’s circumstances. So that being said (and this will sound bad, so bear with me), in a way it’s not their fault. For some genetic reason, they were given the serial killer gene. I always considered it to be an extreme case of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. The urge hits them, maybe they try to fight it as least in the beginning but when it becomes completely unbearable, they commit the act ( the compulsion), and they become greatly relieved until the obsessions start up again, and the deadly desire takes over and they repeat the act. It’s my theory anyway.

As a mother myself, it must have been hard for her. She is, after all, a victim too for what her son did. She apparently, believed in his innocence, until he pled guilty.

Bundy deserved no kind words at the end. If I was the judge I'd have said "rot in hell scumbag". Being a charming serial killer, people are morbidly fascinated by Bundy, but there is nothing to admire here. He does not deserve to be remembered. The victims do.

Narc, psychopaths, sociopaths hate to lose control. Ted Bundy here trying to get his control. He is or was, a terriying individual, who whole heartily deserved what he got. He was a master manipulator of the highest order. He had no remorse, it was always about him. and the injustice he felt, which in itself is rather ironic, considering what he did. Although convicted of 30 murders, detectives and profilers, especifically, Mr Ressler, belived his killed a lot more, as many as 100. Also in this were minors, Kimberly Leach was not the only child he brutally murdered, Mr Ressler believed.

The late great Hugh Aynesworth at the start of the video. One of the great classic investigative journalists. Didn't take any BS from Bundy, or from anybody else for that matter, and did a lot to stop the glorification that always surrounded Ted.

Would be nice to give this guy some money via online fundraising. This makes me think that something physically snapped in Ted's brain, that he couldn't help, that made him a killer. Because it seems like a loving family. Now I will have to look up Bundy's profile. A huge tragedy all round.

I was born in 1975 and raised in South Florida. I used to attend school in the late 1980's in Hollywood, FL. I used to take a public bus to and from my school, The buses would stop and leave at the Hollywood Fashion Center. Scary.

It is barbaric to the death penalty, but Ted imposed the death penalty on 70 women, so in this case, it applies. I understand the mother but no!

Of all the mass murderers Ted Bundt terrifies me more than any other. He was the type of man I would instantly become attracted to. His smart attire; his sophistication; his intellect and good looks. There is little doubt, had I, with my long dark hair, been approached and asked for assistance, I would have obliged.
