The video is pretty good dude, just too short. Expand the explanations more, the nationalism, the concert of europe, how these complicated alliances were formed, how the alliances were triggered in ww1, just more in depth on each detail, but otherwise you are on the right track.

I happen to agree, from what I remember of the creation of that video I assumed most people would know the basic details of the Napoleon and post Napoleon time period. The Concert of Europe is one of the most interesting parts of more recent European history and it would definitely be worth the time to make an extensive video on it. Thank you for the suggestion!

Wait, this is really hilarious! Mojang is just wanting to have the mob vote as a fun way for us to vote on what comes in. Sometimes, the stuff not voted on, such as frogs, is added later. Mojang listens to the community and tries to find ways to give the community a say. But with your photos, you compare them to communists. This whole stop the mob vote thing, which makes 0 sense to me and only sounds like a bunch of babies throwing a tantrum because they didn't get what they wanted. This year, the armadillo won, and I would have voted for the Crab. Big whoop I still got to vote and I still had fun despite my answer not winning. Just because you don't get what you want doesn't make mojang communist. Taking people's right to vote makes them communist. Also, if no one voted, that doesn't necessarily mean we'd get all 3, they probablyjust wouldnt add any of them thinking we weren't interested. If you want all 3, we'd get less stuff in the main update, which I look forward to more than the stupid mob vote. People need to stop making a big deal out of nothing.

Really wonder why it ended. Even with only roughly 25k soldiers, Wagner group probably had enough to make a good run on it. There’s a couple theories on that, one such being that they cut Prigozhan a big deal. My personal favorite it that the Russian people were expected to join the coup in larger force than they did. Either way, it made Russia look weak, and exposed it as a bit of a paper tiger. Even more interesting is that the U.S. knew beforehand. Sometimes history happens in decades, other times in days.
@Severan42
@Severan42 11 ай бұрын
Yeah, my belief is that Prigozhin wanted out of Ukraine cause it was killing too many of his men. He has been rumored to want to go to Africa to fight there but only rumors. If the US actually knew beforehand that wouldn’t surprise me, it does show Putin as a weak leader and I believe that this will spell the end for his reign. “There are weeks where nothing happens, and there are weeks where decades happen” has been my favorite quote for a while cause it spells what has happened the last couple years.

With this logic we can say, in non chronological order, Napoleon caused: WW1, WW2, Operation: Just Cause, Bay of Pigs Invasion, Iran-Contra Affair, Soviet-Afghan War, 9/11, Holocaust, Korean War, Vietnam War, Rape of Nanking, Iraq War, Gulf War, Iran-Iraq War, Battle of Mogadishu, Chernobyl, current Russian invasion of Ukraine, Space Race, Cuban Missile Crisis, War on Drugs, Angolan Civil War, Congo Crisis, Falklands War, Lebanese Civil War, Fall of Saigon, Rhodesian Bush War, Berlin Wall, Russian Revolution, Hiroshima and Nagasaki bombings, and the many many other thousands of wars fought in modern times.
@Severan42
@Severan42 Жыл бұрын
No I disagree, that was the logic I used in my first video with WW2. Saying that because Napoleon caused WW1 he also caused WW2 is something that adds nothing to the overall conversation because the things that causes WW2 had indirect contributions from Napoleon but nothing worth talking about. His actions as I lined out in the video almost directly gave the conditions that caused the First World War. Saying that WW1 was a cause of WW2 can be argued but saying that means Napoleon caused WW2 or the myriad of other things you listed wouldn't be true or be able to be argued effectually.

Truly a tragic story about the dangers of the unstable atom. How much of this could have been prevented, had they chosen to use an instrument more sophisticated than the screwdriver, or if they’d taken proper safety precautions? Slotin’s mistake was very small, but it cost him his life, and, if not for his quick reaction and sacrifice, would have cost the lives of the other men in the room. The atom is one of the smallest denominations we’ve uncovered, but it holds more capability than any other human endeavor. We’ll see what the future brings, but this serves as a good reminder- as Richard Feynman said, don’t “Tickle the tail of a sleeping dragon.”

The unholy german confederation caused world war I. If German nobles weren't so entitled and shortsighted then they would have supported a strong German king that would have unified their country and checked the ambition of both France and Russia
@Severan42
@Severan42 Жыл бұрын
The Holy Roman Empire ended because of the conquest of Napoleon which lead to the establishment of the states of the Rhine. This meant that a lot of those Princes lost the power that they held in there little kingdoms. by the time that WW1 was happening the Austro-Hungarian Empire and the German Empire had stomped out the little resistant that the princes could manage. The way that I look at it is thus, Germany was right smack dab in the middle of Russia and France meaning that if they tried to interfere with either of them they would be met with the full might of the other, and that would end poorly for the Germans.
@deeznutz7064
@deeznutz7064 Жыл бұрын
@@Severan42 I don't mean an offensive war. If tsarist Russia, Kieven Russ, the Novgorod republic, and medieval Muscovy tried to expand west a united Germany would have checked their ambition. Same if medieval France tried to expand east. With three large countries with three large armies in continental northern Europe there would have been a balance of power earlier. As opposed to our anarchic wartorn medieval timeline where Germany was a decentralized mess, France and England were fighting each other. Russia was fighting the Turks and Mongols. Spain and Portugal were fighting the Moors. Italians were killing each other over the investiture controversy and the Eastern Roman empire was defending Europe from the caliphs

Ah I see my mistake, I did not have a correct time lens in which we were talking. I thought we were talking in the 1700s, and maybe 1600s. because that was the time period in which my video roughly took place. The long lasting effects of the HRE are long spanning and it is completely possible that a strong centralized German state then could've taken much more power in the world but the only problem is, is that the people then didn't see themselves as the same. The German nationalism was brought on by Napoleon as I laid out in the video, but if there were a Napoleon like character in the medieval age, it could've happened.

@@Severan42 By the 17th and 18th century it would have been too late for Germany to unify. France was already powerful from colonizing Haiti, Senegal, Quebec, India and America. Russia was already powerful from conquering Siberia and Alaska. Along with Peter the great westernizing Russia and modernizing the Russian military. A Germany that united that late could only fight France or Russia to a stalemate. Not a decisive defensive victory that would have humiliated the invaders. A stalemate is better than defeat.
