Hi. Thanks for the video. If I want to replace all the sliders at the same time, how do I go about doing them? Is there a lever to undo or do I need to unscrew something. Thank you.

This looks tricky, but I'll give it a try. What bothers me is you never showed the cord ends after you were done. Is it a loop to go around a tension pulley like my system? Or two separate cords to open and close? And if a loop, how do you ensure that the length fits the tension pulley ?

Thank you so much for making this video. I thought I was going to have to buy a new traverse curtain rod, but when I watched this, I bought a $5 replacement cord and gave it a shot. I had to start over a couple of times, but your instructions are so precise, that even I, one of the most un-handy people around, was able to get it eventually. 😁 You did the entire job in 10 minutes, but it took me about 1-1/2 hours to finish. Thanks for the tutorial! Much appreciated.

Handy tips: 1. use Blue Tac on the tip of the cord to keep it tidy. Once your job is done, remove the blue tac. 2. Alternatively, use a gas lighter to melt the tip of the cord. This way the tip of the cord doesn't tear as you work with it.

Thank you very much. Buying a $5.50 cord was much more affordable than replacing our ancient (60+ years) traverse rod.

Very clear explanation but it would be necessary to remove the entire track from under its pelmet to replace the cord because it would be too hard to thread the cord through etc working from such and awkward angle, with the pelmet etc, standing on a chair etc, plus I am scared of heights. Easier to simply get an expert to do this job for me.Trouble is, finding one who will even do such a small job. I approached some but they would only fo it if I had toreplace all cords on all my windows, to make it worth their while. I only needed one replaced, so the broken cord is still that way, after a couple of years, unable to find anybody who can do this little job where I live. Anybodyvwould think there was no unemployment, no small businesses in the window coverings industry in need of a dollar, after the bad economic impact of Covid on small businessesin Australia.

Thank you! I had an old rod I'd never used before whose cord was in 2 pieces. I decided to try knotting the first side of the main traverse and follow his directions to the 2nd traverse. Then I knotted it in the left side and knotted the new cord on the right side. Continued as specified and then knotted the 2nd cord on the right side of the 1st traverse gathering up all the slack. It worked!!

Hi, I want to replace the cord on my Integra iPole Glyda curtain pole, as the cord supplied hangs just 1 metre from the pole. Can you recommend what type of cord should be used? Does it matter whether it's Nyloñ or Polyester? Does it have to be braided or what? Thanks for you advice

No, no no, I need instructions for a one way carrier. NOT a split carrier. Total waste of time watching this. UNLESS you are stringing a split carrier.

Use a lighter to melt the ends of string to keep them from fraying, that way you don't have to keep trimming them.
