I did know that four of these Clinchfield Railroad Challengers were meant to be preserved. Those were CRR No. 660, 661, 662, and 663. But were all unfortunately scrapped. If they would be preserved to this day, here’s how I would imagine. Clinchfield Railroad Challenger No. 660: Could’ve been displayed at the Steamtown National Historic Site in Scranton, Pennsylvania. Clinchfield Railroad Challenger No. 661: Could’ve been displayed at the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania in Strasburg, Pennsylvania. Clinchfield Railroad Challenger No. 662: Could’ve been in operation at the Reading & Northern Railroad, a freight railroad that is headquartered in Port Clinton, Pennsylvania. Clinchfield Railroad Challenger No. 663: Could’ve been displayed at Fishery Park in Erwin, Tennessee.

It's a true shame that Mth electric trains went out of business in 2021 as they produced many interesting steam locomotive models in ho scale. I would really like to own an Mth ho scale Gs4 model as they are an interesting appearing type of 4-8-4 locomotive, I would especially like to own a Gs4 engine in the black/silver paint scheme as that scheme is a nice contrast to the daylight paint scheme.
