Well said and put. She wasn’t part of a big program but she took her Hawkeyes into the tournament and beat most of the elite programs. She also broke records made a name for herself and nroght a new audience to women’s basketball. The best thing about it is that it brought attention to the others young talent moving up.

They basically the same player except Jokic is bigger. So far Jokic has yet to play with an all star and is about to win his 3rd MVP and 2nd title. Larry Bird played with 3 hall of famers Kevin McHale, Robert Parrish and Dennis Johnson. Now to be fair to Bird if Denver keeps on they winning ways Jamal Murray will also end up being a hall of famer and all star by the time they done. Denver just gettin started!

I disagree with the Scheyer finding time for them.. you have to earn you time anywhere in a Division 1 program. Especially in elite program. If you cant guard and defend someone or in the perimeter (because Duke switches on all screens) .. youll have yo show u can do that. And handle the Physicality in college basketball. Especially with most division 1 teams getting alot of veteran. Junior senior players who have experience and physical many freshman have struggled with that. Even some sophomores have. So its a process... hes got a great talented freshman class but they have weaknesses and room for development and improvement. It will be interesting to see it all play and develop thou

The supposed biggest shock and the most important thing that will draw the most effort and talent from this prized group, will be the day in day out competition amongst themselves. And "this" will eventially bring the best out of all them. Though, if a few of these stars cannot handle that grueling mountain climb, they may as well look to transfer, asap. ;)

Well.. on today's perspective. Denver is now the top seed on the strongest conference. What would be the argument for not giving him his 3rd MVP even with Embiid eligible. Last year's voting was utterly ridiculous. People were using lack of post season success to take the award away from him (AND GAVE TO EMBIID?!?!) And then Jokic just steamrolled over everybody ahead to get the championship, in the most dominant fashion.
