At this point in the manga, Ippo has long since healed either completely or close to it and proceeds to force Sendo to jump into the ring to keep them both from causing either each other permanent problems before his world championship defense*.. so I don't know where you're getting this permanent "put out" nonsense from. *Ippo still ends up unintentionally cracking Volg's ribs anyway, forcing him to fight through a sharp pain and pretend nothing is wrong. Which, fellow beast that he is, he still pulls off.

@@gludlok747 If my memory doesn't fail me, when Sendo jumped into the ring to stop them from hurting each other further, he specifically lashed out at Volg for using the white fang on Ippo because of his brain damage.

Later on, Sendo's older brother instincts start to kick in and he tries to berate Volg for going so aggressively after Ippo and for putting his own match at risk.. only for Volg to corner him over the fact that if Ippo is retired, why does he keep upgrading his arsenal and that he was able to undeniably force a prime World Champion to treat it like a real match within moments. So, again, dunno where you're gettin' the permanently put out part from. It isn't a professional translation, but as close as we get to one and Volg explicitly calls the spar a loss for himself and skeptically brushes off Sendo's worries that Ippo would have gotten a one-sided beat down had the spar not been forced to end.
