Potentially a silly question, but does this tower have a really short draw, so that's the sally coming up through the hole in the floor?

Old English church bells weren't made to create sounds and noises. They were made to create joy, spread happiness, and lift spirits. One of the most beautiful sounds you'll ever hear that isn't made by mother nature.

Used to hear the bells of local village church regularly as a child in the 40/50s, just loved it. Especially on a Saturday when most of the weddings then seemed to be celebrated. Sadly never hear them nowadays...why? it is such a calming sound.

Plenty of ear plugs were supplied to us! I think ear defenders would have been better though…

Yes must be a big tower! Usually rings of ten are hung on two, 8on the bottom and 2 bells on top

@@user-sn1qx1tm4l It isn’t. The trebles were added in 1991, and the frame they sit in, is seperate from the Back 8. They are on a 1 tier frame, as you can see from the video
