Once again proof of what a joke bowling has become.....how many 300s did he shoot back in the day when bowling actually required skill?

Tugged 11 a little into the oil and almost left a weak 10 pin. Random stranger walks into shot at 12. Someone should have thrown a towel or ball at him.

I started watching the PBA in 1979 after Mr. Burton had basically retired and had become the pro announcer paired with the great Mr. Schenkel. Mr. Burton would still try to qualify and if he made the finals would get a substitute pro to perform his announcer duties. When he made the show Mr. Burton would typically get beat, but one show he went wild and scored in the upper 200s, blowing away the four pro competitors. Today we score like that, but back then with old technology balls and wood lanes it had never happened. It really increased his bowling and announcing cred. Mr. Burton would use the same bowling phrases over and over again and present the scoring facts with a serious whispered approach in a professional style. Since Mr. Burton is both a very good bowler and announcer, it doesn't surprise me he got a 300 at age 80. I got back to back 279s last week and I'm 66.

@@squidly2112 mines a Corvette 10k. That means it needs a little work still 😂 Im getting there slow but sure. If you get the factory shocks with magnetic ride control they cost 4,400 for factory. 2000 if you go after market and thats just parts. Im opting for Gabriel for 400 screw their over priced magnetic BS that only last 50 thousand miles. That cheap ass top that's thin as a water bottle cost 1600$. Z06 wheels , the back tires are 500 a piece , ouch! List goes on. At least its paid for. And all I have is liability ins.

@@treeman2660 - That sounds awesome! .. I wish I had the car in my picture, I don't. I can't afford a $1.5 MILLION car. Would be fun to drive though, 2000hp, 300+ MPH, 0-60 in 2.3sec. Would be pretty cool but I probably couldn't afford the gas to put in it, certainly couldn't afford the oil change or tires, or just even the insurance on it. Doubt one would want only liability insurance on a $1.5 million car .. LOL I hope you are able to build out your Corvette the way you want. That would be fantastic! .. have a GREAT 2023 year !!!
