Your warnings are completely valid and anyone who doesn’t agree with them is naive. Well done for being a great mom and protecting them for the short while you have with them before they have to go out into this really messed up world that has become so sick and full of neglect. Child predators are real !!!! I agree NO Sleepovers until they’re old enough to make wise decisions and know how to handle themselves and situations they may be faced with; Drownings can happen so quickly, and are avoidable if only they are watched properly; Car accidents happen and injuries can be lessoned or avoided if only safety came first; Daycare/aftercare is a joke there’s no care as far as I’m concerned….too many kids for 1/2 people on duty to watch over all the children and usually the teacher is on their phone; As far as I’m concerned, in order to be a parent you should have to be put through a vetting process. Children are precious and a gift and if you can’t see them for that then you shouldn’t be entrusted with looking after them or having them at all. From 1 mom to another, your care, love and concern for making this video has been heard ❤

Paramedic of almost 15 years. I feel you on having a list, but you missed some lol. Here's a rough rundown of my list: -Swimming Pools -Parking Lots -Daycare -Seatbelts/being in cars with other people -Staying the night/hanging out at people's houses I don't know -ATV/Dirtbikes -Guns -Taking medicine from people/daycare/school/parents of other kids Some people will say things like this is depriving kids and they'll resent you for it, but I think they're taking it out of context. There are exceptions to everything and these are general rules. My kids swim, with me or people I trust. Obviously we walk through parking lots. My kids travel in vehicles..with seatbelts and with people I trust. My kids hang out at other people's houses and stay the night, with people I know. We live in Texas, my oldest already shoots but he does it with me and he has to exercise extreme caution. Medicine is only given by somebody I trust, after they call me.

👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 Yes, thank you! Former RN here, everything you said is on point. For parents reading this, I would only add: Never leave children unattended in the car, put your wallet or purse near kids in the car seat to avoid hot car death (people forget their kids in cars all the time, but no one forgets their wallet or purse for long). Take basic first aid and CPR class BEFORE child is born and be aware of dry drowning. If your child is going to someone's house, ask if their guns are locked and secured - not if they have any - just assume they do have guns. PREDATORS are real and can be someone you know well. And finally, just say no to bounce houses! I've seen so many broken bones from kids bouncing into each other... 🙄

I can't pop into the gas station bathroom for 2 minutes to pee without waking up 3 sleeping babies and drag them inside? No... this is why mothers have meltdowns. It's unreasonable.

Honestly, these are all pretty reasonable. I'm not a parent, but I've heard enough horror stories, and my parents were pretty strict with some of this stuff too. We always had a buddy when we went places, we rarely had sleep overs and my mom had to meet the parents first before she left me at anyones house while I was growing up. Was it annoying sometimes? Yeah, but it kept me safe. I think sometimes being an attentive parent gets confused with being a helicopter parent. Trusting your gut with situations that can easily go wrong (and that youve seen go wrong) is not helicopter parenting most of the time.

Exactly! Quite honestly I feel like I see a lot of neglect just being in this field. It’s like letting your kids just “be free, do whatever they want” has become the Norm. We are heavily against no sleepovers and no kids are allowed to sleep over either. Same thing with swimming, our kids are not allowed to go swimming unless one of us is present. No one will protect your children more than the parents. Accidents happen and grandparents still think naive and think nothing bad will happen. Unfortunately, we live in a different world than they grew up in and even how we grew up in. Trauma can be prevented by proper care and set rules. We are not ruining their lives! We are loving and protecting them. I wish more parents thought this way so this can be seen as the norm and not seen as a negative thing.

I was on target therapy initially and Xgeva shots to strengthen my bones… I ended up going to a larger hospital in Chicago Northwestern medicine and they took me off all the second lines of treatment and currently I’m just still on one pill a day… I just pray they keep coming up with more treatments that are less, toxic to our bodies I did end up getting a infection in my jaw from the bone shots and had discontinued those after four shots ironically, I had a DEXA scan last year and my bones are perfect.
