This video makes the assumption that there would be any humans left alive after such a full scale nuclear armageddon. It is a rather optimistic viewpoint. The reality is that the atmosphere on the planet would probably be destroyed and no living thing would survive.

No one can predict what would happen if every nation wants to all of its nuclear arsenals on the same day. But I think if we look at Mars we can get a pretty good idea of what the result might be for planet earth. Nuclear war is something that should never be attempted. It probably would be an extinction level event.

Assuming the only thing targeted in Australia is Pine Gap I’d say we would fair pretty well. Also harmful radioactive fallout out would fade after 2 weeks.

Ukraine shouldn't have given their nukes to Russia in the 90s. Ukrainians have been oppressed by Russians for centuries, giving the Russians the nukes wasn't the best idea in hindsight. I guess hindsight is always 20/20.

@@goodintentions5189 Ukraine inherited the USSR's nukes after the collapse of the Soviet Union as they were stored in the Ukainian SSR. Independent Ukraine gave them back to Russia in '94, but keeping them would have made Ukraine much less vulnerable for attack.
