A couple days ago I took home my 2024 Svartpilen 125 with the new updated tank bag is, for now, the only accessory I got. Seems pretty much the same in terms of shape and magnet position but the style is slightly different with straps over and around with clips besides the zip. Got a discount and paid around 160€ for it. Pricey yes, but the best I think. Good materials, great looks and very convenient for quick rides or longer rides.

Your not riding it how it needs to be ridden. After 1st service you need to nearly hit the rev limiter in every gear from 4th. I have a Vitpilen 125 slightly different engine to yours and I can do 57mph in 4th but if I shift early it will struggle to do 55mph in 6th.

@@lionelmassey5365 The 125 is amazing! Congrats! The light will be adjusted after the 1st service so be patient. If you’re above 1000km or so it can then be turned off or better yet adjusted at will. I really believe it shouldn’t be turned off! In any case in the manual you can find how to adjust it… “The shift warning light can be configured in the Trip 1 display and Trip 2 display by keeping the MODE button pressed. The shift warning light is always active during the running-in phase (up to 1,000 km / 621 mi). The shift warning light can only be deactivated, and the values for RPM1 and RPM2 can only be adjusted after this. The shift warning light flashes red at RPM1 and the shift warning light lights up red at RPM2. In sixth-gear, the shift warning light is deactivated when the engine is warm after the first service.” Have fun! Always :)

I don't quite get your point this time tbh. While most of the years, there is hardly any change between the models, this year it got a new frame, a modified engine a new design and new gizmos. What else would you expect them to change? I do agree about the design though. It lost the uniqueness the "old" Svartpilen had. Although, I thought it looks better in person than in the pictures. Dunno why

It’s a rant. The point is that I don’t like the way it looks and I’m 😭 like a baby because I don’t like the design 🤓. I disagree with the new length, the way the frame makes the bike look ugly but all of these comments are opinion. Truth be told this year it’s actually a proper new model but I honestly believe they’ve ruined it. I’ll still try it though 😉

Cornering ABS is a feature most riders don't really need anyway, and nobody needs a tft screen. The older screen is fine, I just wish it was easier to read the numbers for the RPM, but eventually I learned where they all are even if I can't read them. You're right, it's an example of them taking an old features, adding them, and calling them new. Just like Apple does with the iPhones. "Nobody gives a f*ck about the gizmos... It's about the looks.. always" So true, it's the no. 1 thing I love about the 2022 Svartpilen that I have.

@@vanyer401 It's looks cool, but not more cool than the older one. It doesn't look unique or different enough anymore, that's what I like about the 2022 Svartpilen that I have. A Ninja 400 or Duke 390, isn't going to get that same reaction, or wow factor. The new one, idk if it looks different enough, it's looking similar to any other naked blacked out motorcycle.

Thank you for your kind words. To answer your question, not really. There’s not a single time that I wished I had more power with the 401. The best school for learning pillion (maybe the only one) is the School of Hard Knocks 😂. I decided right at the start of my motorcycling journey that I wasn't going to take the responsibility and risk of carrying a pillion. For me riding is about getting away from life's worries and clearing my head. The company at a destination would be nice but I'm not sure it outweighs the risk in my mind at least. So I didn't tick the "pillion" option on my insurance. It's the same with group rides. I like the spontaneity of looking out the window and seeing it's a.nice morning/afternoon/evening and just going out for a ride, with the option to not go if I plan a ride and it's raining. I went out with my brother in law and his friends once and I just found the whole experience restricting. So I'm a lonely biker by choice. That and my social anxiety won't even let me stop in a lay by or popular meeting point and have to talk to someone 😂
@vanyer4014 ай бұрын
Yeap, that’s exactly me! Exactly!!! I just have the need to go against my comfort zone. It is not a bad thing to have a comfort zone, I just want to push it. I think I’m built like that. In the end though, I usually go back to the things that please me the most, hence my hesitation in this case…

@@vanyer401 I mean, I do often look at other riders out in groups, or stopped at a popular cafe/layby having a chat with one another and think it would be nice, but my mind just tells me I would be awkward and no one would talk to me so I don't. I even saw someone with the same bike as me the other day, which would have been a good conversation starter but instead I just kept riding on by 😔

You know what, you gave me an idea. I’ll discuss about this experience on my next video!

Find a confident friend and start in a car park, let them hold on to your waist and try not to do much leaning, slow speed riding is slightly harder but once you’re pillion gets confidence in you it’s just like riding a heavier motorcycle. Slowing down needs to be done smoothly and in plenty of time. I ride a 401 and regularly have my daughter on the back wearing a back pack and a bag on the rear rack, bike is a little slower off the mark but handles the weight just fine, adjust the suspension a little bit stiffer front and rear. ( tools are in pouch under the seat) Have confidence in yourself.
@vanyer4014 ай бұрын
That’s sound advise and in line with other viewers tbh. Il try that. Step 1: find a friend that’s confident in my riding abilities… step 2: profit 😊. If not, I’ll oblige a friend to just do it…
@Johnny-7014 ай бұрын
Nothing stops you from doing all three, doesn't it? Regarding passengers: Find someone who is willing to go along and start slow. Start in a parking lot to let both of you get familiar with the situation/handling. Slow speed is the most difficult with passenger. That can be practiced well in a parking lot.
