It looks like your 4-LED light tower is actually 4 individual positive and negative wires wrapped together. Simce that works just fine with the quick connect piece, could you theoretically connect several different light poles to the quick connect plug instead of using the expansion hub?

Good informative video. Im getting back into ho cars since the 60’s. Bought an AFX set and have 20 cars from different manufacturers. Only 4 cars run quiet, the others are loud with two new AFX cars make that screaming motor bearing sound. Will try to oil them but disappointed with quality control. Thanks in advance.

I have about 2 dozen SCX Compact slot cars. 2 Porsche, 1 Mercedes, 1 Audi, 3 Nissan 350 Tuner cars, 2 F1 cars and a bunch of the NASCAR cars. Picked them up on Marketplace and ebay all used. Plus 1 new Carrera Go - BMW M4. The SCX seem to handle better w a lower center of gravity. Enjoyed the vid . Your track scenery is looking great.

Hi. To answer your question, mine was definitely worth the money. It was $7.50 at Goodwill, and it contains all the parts, and the cars work perfectly. I could probably flip the set or part out the cars for it for at least quadruple the money, but it's such a kitschy item I might just keep it. Note; only the cars included will work with it. My auto world and Life-like ones just kind of sputtered out. The cars wouldn't work on my Life-like layout either. So it's probably by design, but again it's a cool little set.

Own 2 of those in my early 70's collection. Yellow was original. Paint the other gloss black looks great. $4 ea. Back then.

They are nice but they are getting out of hand with the pricing 50 bucks for these and others in the AW line that's borderline CRAZY for what you are getting and I am being 100% honest.

Nice information, I had never heard of this. I'll use this to get some more use out of some burned up shoes. My only concern was the glue being an electrical insulator, but seems like it works just fine. I was curious if you considered soldering the braid to the shoes? I thought it might work to place a small piece of solder between the braid and shoe, then press and hold the soldering gun tip to the braid to melt it in place.

It works on drag cars. I tried 4 cars and they all gained speed, one car gained 1/10 of a second! I just used 100% silicon (what I had), works great. However, the question is would this be considered "Braids" as pickup shoes? If it is then I will stick to full braids. But this is so easily done.

no need at all to solder anything !! iv done a ton of these an have nvr soldered any an have nvr had any trouble , shrink rap is enough .

Great stop action bit.when you had the cars and trucks clear the track. Plus the donut the GT500 cut on the track before the trial run was a nice addition.

Wow yours works you did not get the bonus afx out of round pinion or the extra super bonus banana grappling rear axle with yours! LOL!!!

afx heard that racing isn't any good with out a little rubbin..... Ahhh I will have to get these on my 1/24 scale Carrera track to test out. Been testing some aliexpress ho cars and they blister the track with their speed. No rubbin there on my track but probably those AFX Shelbys = too fast for me eyes🏁
