It bothers me that these always come out so long after the podcasts drop. I already listened to this 2 weeks ago. You should drop these before the pod because its a little preview.

The great things about these new VCRs is that you dont have to sit by the TV on Thursdays like a sap and wait for Rob and Paul to start because you can program them in advance

Molson is in the original play script. Just reread the script and it...does not hold up. Went looking for the film to see if it got better aaaand it's not available for streaming. Gonna take y'all's word for it that the movie doesn't work either.

Japan and Korea .. not the same. Would have been nice if you had researched where it was which wasn’t difficult because I assure you, from a historical standpoint Japanese don’t like being called Korean and vice versa. But then all Latins are probably Mexicans too. 😫

I'm not usually sensitive to these kinds of shows/films, but it deeply affected me - mostly due to the amazing performances. That being said, the entire show felt incredibly tasteless and exploitative.

Very entertaining listening to you guys talk about this movie on the full podcast. Thanks for watching it, so I don't have to. :) I did some research on Bryan Adams's song "Heaven" several years ago. I used to hear it on the radio, and it's been a favorite of mine for years, but I had no idea about him writing it for this movie. I looked it up, and found a video of the opening credits. It had some great scenery of Cape Canaveral in FL, but when I read up on the plot, I figured out why I hadn't heard of it. It didn't sound that good. Something that you used to often see was if a musician made music for a movie, and they produced a music video for it, they would find a way to at least show the movie's title in the video, or more often, put a few cut scenes into it. Bryan Adams produced a couple videos for "Heaven," and there is *nothing* about "A Night in Heaven" in either of them! He came up with something completely different (the one you commonly see is him singing in a concert hall, with a scene outside of a man and woman being stopped by a cop, and the man taking a sobriety test). It gets me thinking that perhaps he thought the movie was going to be better than it turned out to be, and wanted nothing to do with it afterwards.

We love these intros but it's very silly that they almost never coincide with the Matinee Monday releasing that day.

Spoiler: At the end of the movie he goes to Argentina. The current president of Argentina, Javier Milei, has 5 clones of his dog that died in 2017. This was science fiction back then when the movie was made, but cloning your pet is a real thing now.
