Calm brings the clarity to be decisive. If you do not take action in clarity, you are done. Remember a force which considers itself superior will never expect the inferior force to attack. This is what officer Prinsloo shows us when he went on the offensive. GUTS.

Thsnks for providing more info and commemtary on things :) . I am a Sumo wrestler in Scotland, it's amazing how i can see techniques from these arts that can even be used within something like Sumo. Things are usually transferable even if you wouldn't expect it.

I wish gyms I go to do soft spars like this, everytime I spar with others they would unleash and not even focus on technique and timing. Keep up the great work 🤌

I want to know if this was race based. Because I heard the child was Taiwanese, was the instructor Chinese, or Mongolian? I'm just curious
@FightEquipt10 ай бұрын
I am pretty sure it's not race based. Just very unfortunate the instructor didn't know what he was doing until it's too late

Thanks for responding to my question (asked via other channels) about the differences in the roundhouse in traditional martial arts vs. more applied techniques. In addition to whether to strike with the ball of the foot, the instep, or the shin, there is also the angle at which the leg in brought up. It seems that in TKD, the knee comes up the centre, then just before impact, the leg is rotated so that it unhinges horizontal. This can get the leg inside of the opponent's guard arm. In traditional Shotokan, the knee is first brought up to the side, and while swinging forward, the leg rotates onto a horizontal plane with the thigh so that the unhinging is horizontal at the point of impact. Like swinging a baseball bat, though it is easier blocked by the opponent's arm. This feels weaker, and this is the method that is most often associated with striking using the ball of the foot. Some practitioners do something in between the two extremes above, which feels the most powerful. The leg is swung toward the opponent not straight up the enter nor entirely from the outside, but arcing on an approximately 45 degree plane. Striking can be done with the instep or the shin. I'm currently trying to drill in this angle as well as the traditional angle coming entirely from the outside.
