Regarding 4. The turning point for that episode was definitely when Anne took out Shaun. For context, Shaun was the seat 4 player that episode who scored 10k in his cashbuilder and went high for 43k but was unfortunately caught in the 1 question shootout, getting 2 questions wrong during that head to head. I'd imagine that Shaun would have been a dangerous contender in the final chase had he stuck with his 10k.

I almost responded to some of the condescending-to-downright hateful comments below. Shame on me. She got a few really nasty questions. Her pace was good initially. Even with no advantage, her chances of winning were still relatively high - she doesn't have a team to get in her way, and she doesn't have a buzzer, those two things are HUGE. As has already been pointed out by others, her set was so bad she wouldn't have won with a lower offer anyway. Good on her for trying.

Does the word ‘braindead’ here refer to their set or the pushbacks? I will say, I will say, I think both sides had some tricky questions, it’s just that the team got stronger in the second minute and got the tough answers right. It’s a shame really because the team had good knowledge, they just need the momentum to get those extra 2 or 3 questions at the end which turn a 16 into a 19.

As an American I first off find these people are competing for far too little for the wealth of knowledge that is required to compete in such a show. Secondly, I don't mean to be rude but I thought it was kind of dick-ish to put that first clip up as that would've been life changing money for many of the contestants but after reading your explaination of the clips in the description I completely understand. Her bragging at the end "about being on fire" didn't seem right in my opinion as atleast Paul Sinha atleast seemed apologetic to the contestants that lost (he could've let it go in the end at the end of the day and rushing that last answer also kind of ruined it in my opinion). The chasers & the host clearly get paid well on these shows and they're basically shutting down the hopes of ordinary people for whom this money really could help. Just my two cents. Still I enjoyed the compilation of clips! You seem to have really thought this through & I can respect your choices. I don't know how long Beat the Chasers has been on but I would love to see more clips of that (best contestants and worst). I like that the stakes are raised higher & it's up to the people to make their risk/reward decisions.

I have to say that the contestants questions were unbelievably easy, no wonder they got such a high score. Mark’s were so much harder so it’s not a surprise he failed to catch them. I think people disliked this final because Mark wasn’t even going slow yet just about managed a 13.0 speed, chasers shouldn’t have to intercept and struggle to get a 13.0 speed, it should be effectively the default setting.

Ever notice how a majority of the time the Chasers get such easy questions in the final Chase compared to the contestants? Happens waaaaaaay too often in the Australian Version of the Chase & it seems to be occurring more often on the UK version - also Bradley seems to speed up asking the Chaser's questions to help them answer as quickly so that they beat the timer.

I’ll be honest… Aside from Mark admittedly not starting off going full-steam-ahead like he normally does against a target like this, I didn’t understand a lot of the hate this final got when it first aired. Record-high bank, high target, *13.0 q/min* speed if that’s what everyone’s looking for! I’ll respect people’s opinions, of course, but I personally find as much to love about this final as others seem to have to hate.

Why was anyone hating on this? And who hates on The Chase!!
@T6448_P28 күн бұрын
@@imalwaysright To be fair, it’s not like anyone was necessarily hating on the game show itself. It’s just that the hardcore fans are all about exciting final chases where the chasers give it their best and just go hell-for-leather. Which is fine-more power to them-but Mark’s slower start compared to other scenarios when he’s faced a 22 means the attitude towards this final was soured from the get-go, and it didn’t get better when Mark ended up losing at the end. I guess many fans were thinking Mark could’ve won had he sped up from the beginning, but I have to respectfully disagree - faster speed means more mistakes, and even if Mark maintained the same mistake/pushback ratio at a *15.0 q/min* speed, he would’ve been off by 1.

@@T6448_P2 What do you want to see from the chase when it returns?
@gameshowclips8 күн бұрын
To be honest, there was only one reason why I was rooting for Mark in this final, and it’s simply because there hadn’t been a 22 step catch since early Series 15. Having said that, any team who scores 22 absolutely deserves to win, this was one of the best teams in Series 15! Mark did make some bad misses in that final though, so it was sort of a throwaway for him.
