Hi Alice, thanks for sharing your idea. Yes it is correct but there are many other ways to propagate plants. There are actually 13 techniques both basic and advanced propagation. This is by division of plants already grown plants. Because not all plants produce plantlets. One sample is the pothos. You need to propagate this plant through stem or leaf cuttings to produce more plants.

Olá JoJoh, sim, chama-se Zamioculca. Seu nome comum também é ZZ Plant ou Zanzibar Gem. Neste vídeo, propaguei suas folhas para cultivar mais plantas. Hi JoJoh, yes it is called Zamioculca. It's common name is also ZZ Plant or Zanzibar Gem. In this video, I propagated its leaves to grow new more plants.

Hi, thanks for asking, you need to remove the plant and stones and clean the entire glass. Don't worry, photos are easy to grow plants, it will not die :)

That is a seriously slow growing plant! I had a cutting that I was trying to grow which sat, apparently unchanged for 6-8 months before deciding that it wasn't going anywhere. I should have given it an extra year.

Yes, they are really slow growing plants, but they grow bulb and eventually grow new Black Rave ZZ Plants.

From what I could see, you had much better success with soil vs. water. Did you count the cuttings that didn't root so you can figure out the success rate as a percent? Also, it looks like the drying step, where the cut end seals up, isn't necessary since you went straight from cut to soil/water. I have a treasured sansevieria that I'm propagating and initially looked at starting them in water but, after this video, I'll be putting them into soil. Thanks Adela B!!

Hi, thank you so much for appreciating this video. You're right, but there are situations that leaf cuttings grow faster in water and I didn't figure out what's the reason, maybe it needs another experimentation. But congrats, for propagating your sansevieria :)

You can put them in soil when you see that the roots are long enough about 2 inches.

I think the one that's not growing so well may do better the other way up? I saw little leaves growing from that end, if I'm not mistaken. ... I know it's years later ;)

Soil propagation rooted almost 3x more than the water propagation. Interesting to learn and likely the better route for healthy new plants
