Hi Beverly. This KZfaq video was recently sent to me by Mike Jones. You’ve clearly had a very positive impact on the community of Lawrence and KU. Why am I not surprised. It was always your destiny to be leader. Belated congratulations on the well deserved recognition. Hope you’re doing well and if your ever out San Diego way let me know. The music that plays throughout the video needs to have the volume lowered in future segments. People that you interview such as Jessica Palm here occasionally lower their voices at the end of sentences which makes understanding difficult. Otherwise, good informative content. This never gets old for me. I've been wavin' the wheat since the late 60's and fell in love with KU long before I ever attended school there. Allen Field House & Memorial Stadium are 2 of my most beloved sports venues on this planet. But I love it when the Jayhawks go on the road and light up whatever city they're in. My parents were in the classes of '70 and '72, and it is amazing that they finally were able to walk the hill together for the same graduation ceremony! They celebrate 56 years of marriage today. I can't even describe how wonderful it is to see them walking down the hill in this video at 1:29 and 1:59! Rock Chalk!

I have to admit, I do not like the look of the Jayhawk Welcome Center. It looks cold and bland, with no personality or style. When the University builds new buildings, why do they have to be these cold, modernist buildings that look cheap and cost a fortune. Thank god its being funded by private donations, I would be pissed if $21 million of University money was spent on this building.

I loved this, thanks so much for posting. I have read nearly all of John's books, loved them all and am currently reading The Minders - fab too. I,too, could not put down The One and was compelled to read his other books. I can't wait to see the Netflix series! We are all in the UK waiting patiently for it. I have often wondered what John is like as a person - what a lovely, warm, down to earth, modest and talented man he is!! I love him even more after this and should really start a fan club 😀
