I just now saw this I'm sorry it took so long. It sounds like your layer is a background layer. It needs to be a raster layer. Also, once you have expanded it out you have to hit delete. Make sure you are also on the layer you are trying to remove the corners of.

I think I actually had a video that showed how to do it on OBS Studio as well one time, but IDK if it got deleted or what. Glad it helped though

It sounds like you somehow stretched the time. That's the only thing I can think of. How long should it be?

@@MichaelKeeter the project was less then 10 minutes, and unfortunately, complete. But somehow the timeline was stretched to 10 hours... I spent 2 days trying to find a function in the program to decrease the project timeline but to no avail. Not happy that Corel would design this and not provide a function to undo or reduce. Any ideas? The k for yoyr help.

@@Joceytalks double click on each clip that's slow. There will be a timelapse option and a variable speed option in the properties section. Set them to 100% speed

@@MichaelKeeter Thanks but the clips are in proper time and my collection of clips goes out to 7 minutes. It's the main project timeline that is stretched to over 10 hours somehow. I appreciate your help Michael. Cheers

I have watched the ENTIRE video to see if I could find what you are talking about, and it's IMPOSSIBLE to find it. I explained everything at least once in the video somewhere. If you need help tell me what is missing and I'll try to find it and help.

I'm not sure exactly what you mean, but I'll try anyway. Make sure to set your project properties to the right aspect ratio. When you go to render your video you need to make sure you pick the correct dimensions. 720 or 1080 will be rectangular. You may need to create or copy a setting to render at with the correct size if it's coming out the wrong size. It just sounds like that may be the problem if it is right in the project. If you need more help please let me know. I'll do my best.

Hello, I am trying to transport a video with a transparent background to a different project in Corel studio, is there a way to do that? Since I have not found a way to do that I have been using a green screen instead of a transparent one, but the problem is that after I chrome key the background to transparent and then add motion a skinny black border shows up at the edge of the original picture and it ruins the out come. hope you can please help. thank you

This thing works great still although I mainly use a full size drawing table now. I think if I was going to do this again I would use L brackets with some sort of sliding adjustment system to lock them in place where they need to go. The wood glued into place works, but it does flex with weather conditions, and can get a little tight.

Glad to know this is still helping people. Thanks for letting me know about the button! Can you tell me if the 2020 version has support for multiple audio streams per video yet? For instance... when recording in OBS it records all of my sources to different audio tracks (up to 6) so I can edit and mix them later. My current version X10 only pulls in the first audio stream instead of however many I actually have on the video.

I think you need to set up project properties to the 9:16 aspect ratio, then when you render make sure you choose the proper one there too. Under the preview window should be a pull down box that says 9:16 in it.

It depends the aspect ratio of your screen. 16:9 is the usual ratio for most videos i.e... 1280x720, 1920x1080 Some use 16:10 If you want to do 4K it will also fit in 16:9 I believe. Again sorry for the super late reply YT just hasn't been telling me when I've gotten any comments lately.

Sorry YT didn't tell me I had comments. As in portrait? In the editor under the player there is a drop down box that has 9:16 as one of the options. It will flip the video on it's right side I think. The project properties need to be setup for it though and the output you'd just make a custom output I think. Just make sure the bigger number is to the right instead of the left like usual.

There is an option somewhere that stretches the video to fit the size you want. I think that's what you are looking for. If you don't check it then it will scale to the largest side basically if I remember correctly.

Brother In Project Property I set MPEG 4VAC 1920x1080 Resolution and after completing editing in Share tab > Mobile > Mobile Device >Resolution 1920x1080. The problem is when my boss put that edited video with abovesaid setting, on his whatsapp status, it plays in small size . It doesn't fill full mobile screen. There is one mobile app "inshot" the videos edited with this software, display full screen video, when the videos set in whatsapp status. We deal in diamond jewellery. Brother i seriously need the solutions of this problem... please help me. Regards from India.

For some reason I was never notified about your comment sorry. That sounds like a codec issue of some sort.

It should have just custom where you can change it. Try creating a project property to the ratio you want. Sorry it's taken me so long to reply I haven't gotten any notifications until today.

I would assume you could set your project properties to that while editing, and then your file format to that when exporting.

I for some reason never saw this comment so sorry about that. I honestly have no idea what color I was using for this. it was an array of orange and purplish reds I think.

Even though the program made a mess Video seems to be fixable.... Just wanted to know if there are settings I don't realize I'm using? Like project preference You got options like mobile,DVD,etc Restarting may be the biggest pain in the ass ... Just wanna use all options before restarting the whole thing

Hopefully not. If you can get the problematic video to render to another file it may work just fine. But I've only been able to do that by rendering it by itself first with no cuts or other videos. You may want to try installing you software on another computer and trying It there if it doesn't work. Or even try windows movie maker to try to render it if vs won't do it.

Oh also if you watch the preview while rendering it will freeze at the problematic area. If need be try cutting 30 seconds on either side of it and remove that part completely

Made 2 vids previously with no changed settings n the one good cam n videos turned out fine....

Try to render each video separately to the same exact settings then try to use them all. It's possible for a video to not save properly when recording sometimes. That is the only way I ever fixed the problem when I had it.
