Nilah was always an interesting marksman for me, but I don't really undertand the reason why is she so unpopular. She doesn't have an extremely complex kit that would discourage players. So why is she far less popular than the ADC's we got in the past years, like Zeri and Smolder? Does she behave more like a counterpick, perhaps? Or is her usefulness greatly dependant on team composition? I thought I'd ask a Nilah main on the matter 😄

Does Botrk ever perform significantly better over Collector, because its not reflected in the stats. But more importantly will it still be good post adjustment next patch?

if u care about item stats you should compare collector stats to bork stats and passive, the adjustments are a buff to nilah bc she is a melee champ

This is really useful to know. KZfaq guides tend to show you how to carry and how to close up games when you're already ahead but almost never show you how to play when you're even or at a disadvantage.

No idea how you have so much damage with 1 item, I feel like I do ZERO damage until like 2-3 items. To the point my support often gets the kills during the laning phase, very very consistently

I think it’s abt playing with confidence, sometimes u don’t fully commit as much as u should and loose dmg, like enryu says in the video fight til the death 1:47

it's a lot about stacking conqueror + willingness to fight, nilah has a lot of damage as long as you are taking extended fights even if you only have 1 item

I don’t know what riot was thinking when they made mortal reminder only 10 less ad than lord dom’s - it’s just never worth getting dom’s now. Quick question, why do you get 4 points in e then start maxing Q? I get that maxing e is stronger in lane, but isn’t it worth to just max it instead of splitting your upgrade points?

Was the case before, but due to nerfs to Nilah and items changing, the last point in E isn't as important as getting to the later points in Q, even that 1 point faster. Nilah doesn't itemize as much burst as before which makes the base damage of E less reliable. It's around the level 7-8-9 mark that fights become much longer and drawn out, vs lvls 1-6 where Nilah is typically 1 shotting people with maxed Conq stacks (making E the more valuable ability to max early game). The later points in E are just objectively more valuable on paper, but nowadays Nilah needs to transition to more sustained fights faster. TL;DR it's much more valuable to start maxing Q after getting the main benefits from E early game.

Tbh they had a lot of sustain this game (yone, viego, tahm, zilean R) so going mortal was good. In games where they don’t have sustain LDR is still better. 10AD might seem like it’s nothing but Nilah has big AD ratios, a lot of armor pen and builds high crit so it make a difference in the long run (LDR build path is better with quiver too)

Just try to grab more money as possible, when you are a lot behind u can trading ur life for a turret (specially t2), if ur mid is feed let them stay mid and just splitpush until 2-3 items

A couple seasons ago you ran teleport on Nilah occasionally, is that ever viable still? If so, when, and if not, why? Great vids btw, I love Nilah but almost never see her since I'm low elo

it is still viable yes, but only into matchups are vs afk mages like seraphine, ziggs, etc. where you cant really kill them reliably unless they are inting

Thank you for the content. Can you explain the reasoning behind going essence reaver vs collector For essence you get 25 ability haste +10 ad and 100 g from cost. But doesnt the better collector passive and leathality make up for that?

essence reaver gives better stats and a real passive that makes nilah a manaless champion whereas collector is just a bad item after all the nerfs to it, you're handicapping urself if u buy it first, even draven players stopped buying collector

Hey enryu thx for the video. Have you ever tried running the 3 elixirs as secondary runes with the free boots instead of cosmic insight ? I know CI is great and is always valuable but I find this 3 elixirs rune really great to enable your snowball in lane 1st elixir isn’t that important but it’s still good to get 40g for free and an easier push to recall for tempo 2nd elixir is where this rune starts to shine giving you 12AD (worth 400g) for a minute at lvl 6 really helps you get that surprise dmg to win your 2v2 all in easely around lvl 6 and it gives you a good start for your snowball 3rd elixir is REALLY good too. I like doing 4 points E into max Q like you do and having 4 points in Q AND 4 points in E lvl 9 (and Q maxed lvl 10 instead of 12) is such a game changer it’s really good and increases your Q dmg by quite a lot actually which again helps you snowball lane harder

Yo I'm 500lp euw and I'm starting to love Nilah and wanna be better, can you do some build paths vid, like more indepth for high elo players? I saw your last one, which was ER into DD/BT, but I seen some Nilahs go Botrk, and pros go mostly collector/IE... and I have a question, what are the best supports for Nilah? So far from what I played, the best felt Soraka, Taric and hard engage supps (Pyke, Leona)... Thanks and good educational video

I don get it. I so desperately dont want to drop this champion, and see the good in her new builds but rushing essence or whatever and building into dd just doesnt fulfill champion fantasy the way it did. I miss collector build, i miss 40 stack ravenous waveclear, god. Shes only fun to play in aram nowadays, where you dont get puniahed for building full crit, as its meant to be

i think coaching is overrated because there's so much resources online, I recommend improving on fundamentals (farming / positioning / fighting) on your own first, then if you're at your wit's end then feel free to dm me for coaching

it gets more damage than Q, it lowers the CD; it's just overall way better

Q max scales with ad harder, e max gives cd and the BASE dmg is a lot higher. So Q max is better with items, so maxing q second when you have more items makes sense and E lets you have more mobility more trading

Yep basically what everyone said, more damage early and lower cooldown on dash whereas Q max will be better second since we will have more AD by that time

Sometimes ur plays looks weird for me, for example you almost always use both dashes really fast, its better to use one and smash them with q + aa and leave second dash for finish

It all depends how long of a window you have to dps. He mostly uses both dash when he knows enemy flash is up which makes him stay in range for some aa even if enemy flashes out resulting in a better trade

it depends, sometimes you don't have the time to do the full combo since nilah can get kited really hard and sometimes you use both dashes instantly in case you think they might dash away or something

already tried it, it feels too bad to buy since it's expensive and gives no crit, there are other non-crit items that are much better than shojin on Nilah like bork/death's dance, she doesn't have enough slots to buy a shojin as a non-crit item

nilah gets countered by a lot of champions so it's understandable, but she should always be able to play teamfights with flash, so just try to use ur flash cooldown wisely
