No one is saying that the wood doesn't matter for acoustic instruments, and even electric ones on clean settings. It's that once you put distortion on, it's impact is minimal. I'll add that Paul has a vested interest in pushing tonewood to sell guitars for higher prices, even if it means deforesting areas for exotic woods that should be left alone

Argh, you people (including the interviewer) are SO shallow.. How about asking Richie WHO he "prays" to? Wouldn't that be a fair, interesting and obvious question? And man, why do these rockstars always brag, even though we all know they have millions of dollars, have houses in Hawai, and are friends with other rockstars, they just have to remind us all about it. Haha and you guys just swallow it all up. Yuck.

Sorry for the lengthy comment but I feel this needs to be said. I love Erra musically but saw them in Autumn with Bad Omens and it was by far THE WORST LIVE MIX I've ever heard and I've seen HUNDREDS of metal bands. The guitars were inaudible 95% of the time, the bass was just indecipherable booming white noise (even during the solo of Divisionary you couldn't understand shit). The drums and vocals were all you could hear the whole time and it was infuriating to see they were clearly using playback (playing the actual songs through the P.A and just play on top of it). The confirmation was during the clean part of Vanish Canvas after the tap solo, neither were playing that part. Their music rocks but utilizing the Quad live seems to be destroying the quality of many band's live mixing. Tuning so low that the mids are just over saturated anyway is almost a guarantee to not be a good mix. Lots of bands that started as prog metal or were technical seem to be utilizing seven string guitars and tuning unfathomably low just to go djent and it's really unfortunate. Here's a link to the show I was at so you know I'm not full of shit. The mix was exactly as this video shows. The Eagles Ballroom doesn't have the best reputation for metal mixes but I've seen many that were great. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/b7eeZtZ_nLzemHU.html

Everyone from the 70s heard this song, I think it ran directly after walk this way on the record. Little known by most, not me , I learned the song some time ago. It’s funky, typical Aerosmith. The lyrics are great.

Kind of childish for a musician to say that Clapton isn’t fit to do Gilmour and Knopfler’s laundry! I sense a huge amount of jealousy there from a nobody in the music world! You don’t get to play Knebworth 90 to over 120,000 people when you’re not a British legend! Oh, and by the way he’s almost 80 and still touring!

Good video, but I have a question about the replacement Quan Badass Bridge . Right now as we speak I just finished replacing the stock Bridge on my Gretsch G2220 4 string bass and I discovered it did drop in with ease except that the Badass Screws are longer and thicker with a larger screw head. I did not want to take the chance of damaging the bass body or stripping the old holes so I just used the old Chrome color ones. (or can I just use the replacement Badass screws without any issues) Will this be a problem as far as string tension pulling the bridge forward or not if I keep the old smaller screws in? right now it is very snug, but I haven.t restrung it because I'a going to spray paint the Pickup Rings Gold to match the other gold hardware. Thank you in advance to anybody else who might have had a similiar issue. Also were the screws different on the Badass than on the your stock Fender Mustang bridge?

Wow. Incredible dynamics and phrasing. All of Tom’s playing feels like a hit song from a soundtrack. And the insight into his tone is by far the best I’ve seen in any rig rundown. Using an expression pedal to control a boost pedal as a volume pedal?!? Awesome. Thanks.

I'm hyper critical with the cost of gear these days, but I expect anything from Carvin to deliver at a level no one can complain about. *I have a Carvin V3 and am still fine tuning it, but for the money to features ratio and being 100% valve and American made, it's impossible to beat.* As long as I hear that fizz, fuzz and zing of tube distortion and the ability to get that piece of equipment into saturation without an external effect, I'm deeply interested yet I say this as a college educated electrical/electronics engineer and a rarity as a shred and sweep style player that overall, prefers solid-state characteristics. I was truly upset to see their music equipment product line was destroyed by the Chinese market, and it's far from over I'm sure of that.

How is the higher fret access in this? I have an ES-175 which has a similar cut, but obviously thicker and I much prefer a ES-335 type of double cut to play higher up. But I have never played a single cut thinline ES-135 type like this guitar. I have been thinking about getting a Montreal. But not sure I can get along with that shape. I play lead. Another thing I don't like is the 2 knobs system. Never understood why companies do this to 2 pickups guitars. Can't be to save money as it probably saves them 2 dollars. But one can modify it to 4 knobs and this is what I must do if I get one. By the way, is it ES-339 sized? it doesn't look ES-335 sized.
