Wow, that’s really interesting and a great explanation on how it works. I agree the figure in the first one is better. I wonder what they would look like with wood and colour swirled resin. Thanks for the video, great job.

Very nice. Got to learn a bit more than I expected. Now I will give it a try minus the bottom problem I hope. If I do blow through the bottom I will get to do a repair!

That's going to be a lovely bowl Robbie! What was the stuff you dipped the ends of the off cuts in? I have used Chestnut end seal but its pretty costly stuff and doesn't go far. I found a log of green Ash similar to yours and got a few blanks off it. The blanks that I part turned then slow dried in my converted fridge kiln went the best - they sat for about 4 weeks in 18 - 20 degrees C, worked a treat. Thanks for all your great films, I'm enjoying watching - cheers!

Hi Robbie, thank you very much for your video. For those who are starting in the woodturning , it is often difficult when you make a mistake and we observe that experienced people, like you, also make their mistakes. Congratulations for showing us how to get around adversity. I would like to thank you for your guidance, even showing the things that don't work out, because that's typical of big people, of people who don't have their vanity registered. I wish you success and a big hug from Brazil and stay with God.

You should reverse the steel rods and leave the quick connect end exposed. That way you only need to use short 2" rods and you can then install the quick connect in your drill and easily change from one disc to the other. Much more efficient way to do it.
