ive heard nothing but bad things about tarim and the habaib, like cult stuff. if you want to go off and live a spartan lifestyle, at least go the path of the other yemenis and show izzah for quds

You believe what you heard? There are plenty of students from Tarim in the west, none of them seem 'cultish'..whatever that means. If you hear of something, you should investigate yourself

Yes, you can study for as little or as long as you like. you can even get a special program of the books you'dlike to study. there is also a 40 day program that takes place once a year called the dowra.

My love is to make Duah to Allah SWTA to have been a servant of yours Molana, in order to be close to Molana and help out for whatever it is that you would need Molana.
