This man is brilliant. I have seen and read a lot of flack online about him, the REAL hardcore metal heads dont like COF because it was very popular and appealed to a lot of non- traditional metal fans. Stupid shit like, "Hot topic posuer's " etc... I dont buy into that. I love Iron Maiden and when I listen to COF, particularly Paul's albums, I hear a very strong legacy influence. Dont care what people look like, this band is good metal. "

💯 Cradle of Filth got to do what every musician wants to do. Make a living at playing music. People are just jealous at the fact that Black Metal caught a wave and COF was high on that wave. Cruelty and the Beast is a masterpiece with Midian right behind it.

I interviewed Hanno for a Danish music magazine I write for back in 2018, so it is interesting hearing Erinc's perspective on things as well. His answers explain why he uses a lot of very different rhythms than those I hear most other metal drummers do. Also backs up how Mantar are really a punk band at heart, in that they never include anything in their music that is not absolutely necessary for the songs to work... the fact of them not having a bass is a good microcosm of that ethos.

@patbau96 Жыл бұрын
I actually love it when he slips up. We all see ASOIAF as this grand amazing fantasy tale but obviously to GRRM, it's just a pulpy mystery series that happens to be set in medieval times with magic and dragons.
@harvesterofstorms4932 Жыл бұрын
@@patbau96 I can agree with you there. That's one thing I do love about George, his range. Science Fiction, horror, fantasy, romantic stories like Song For Lya and Beauty And The Beast. He's never boring. I guess the word "cringe" was the wrong way to put it. It's just one of those "hey, wait!" moments.
