no one was going to be saved from the roof on that day. The helicopters wouldnt risk flying into the smoke, and even if you tried to get to the roof, the smoke inhalation would have killed you before you could reach the door.

It's usually around $20, but you can set up outside and watch for free. There are some grass strips and a few baseball fields that people park at. They've been having a C-17 Globemaster III the past few years that you're able to get into, and free plane rides. They usually also have a Robinson R44 helicopter that you can pay for rides on as well. One year they had a B-2 bomber fly over, and the Goodyear blimp. The Akron Children's Hospital Air Bear helicopter usually makes an appearance as well. A few years they didn't have the A-10s show up, but they're usually on display and performing aerial shows too. Lots of cool stuff!
