I would stop buying from a company pulling what I call a “Benchmade” by switching something to plastic. Dad’s company is going the other way and offering milled Ti clips. Interesting.

They immediately changed clips. There were only 60 or so plastic clips tried, and they replaced anyone's who sent it in, no questions ask.

those idiots couldn’t have made a california legal version? like they made a large med and a mini of the wiener warrior which is only a half inch too long. for one thing it would be a great starting knife for a child so it would be beneficial in that aspect to keep the mini 2” or under but also there are 40 million people living in california and the only version of this knife that will ship here has to be under 2” and there aren’t a lot of california legal switchblades available so there is a market for them here and i don’t understand what they expected to benefit from making it 2.5” instead of 2”. like you see all these videos about making ambidextrous knives for the benefit of only six percent of the population when california makes up 12 percent of the american population and probably an even larger percentage of their mini auto market for the total blade hq sales and we are only one state away from their headquarters but they seem to forget we exist.

The run time is hard to discern. I've not known anyone to daily one of them. They mostly sit in safes since they're pretty limited. I have never charged the battery in mine, and I show everyone every chance I get 😅

After having a few Chavez and SOC I dont see the hype with Chinese knives. They look and feel like gas station knives with bearings. They are not worth what they cost and just look like the delux gas station models.

I've fondled many, many knives, and there are still noticeable differences between Rike products and other Chinese makers. Believe me, there are great knife makers all over the world, and Tony wouldn't put his stamp of approval on anything short of his standards.

@n8r8ts41 Impressions so far on the Socom Bravo Mini T/E. The feel in hand is great has a good balance and weight. Typical with microtech its sharp lol. Blade profile is killer and the ti/carbon fiber is spot on. They knocked it out of the park with these collab Socoms.

$480 is a lot compared to what the Socom Bravo was released at. I think I paid $360 directly from Microtech. I hope they have an option to swap out that glassbreaker. I like the size of the breaker on the Socom Elite, low profile.

How do you like the full serrations on that cleric? I just got a stitch full serrated (couldn't find a partial 🥲) so I'm not too sure how that'll be

I've always used most of my knives, so if it's hitting my pocket, I prefer full serrated. I'm in construction, so the things we cut tend to vary in durability, but full Teeth always cuts on the first try!

@@n8r8ts41 I know what you mean. I've gotta cut a lot of banding and rubber hoses, zip ties and the like so the serrations are a welcome addition. Makes sense why they don't do serrations on the customs too 🥴

@jdreviews5 microtech will add them if you request it and send in your knife, but they do charge for the labor. I think you'll like your stitch. Only thing I can think of is it's a wider blade, May pose some issues getting into smaller spots, but it has a great tip just don't pry with it 😅

@jdreviews5 the stitch is definitely one of the heavier models, but I wear a belt so I don't mind. The spring is stronger in the stitch than the socom.

I have one of the flamed protos. It's an amazing flashlight. Heretic really made this one right. It's in my pocket on many a dog walk, especially now that it is so dark so early up here in the north west. I agree these are really flying under the radar, but a fantastic flashlight from Heretic none the less.
