I graduated from a trade school and feel the same way sometimes

A trade has alot more merit than a liberal arts degree. It's the kind of education and training that carries real skill, that are needed for necessary world needs. Carpentry, welding, electrician and HVAC do a hell of alot more in the world, than the umbrella of definitions of what a "liberal arts degree" has ever done in society. The real liberal arts degree features studies of history, literature, writing, philosophy, sociology and creative arts, which are very much attribute to critical thinking. Now take all of that in today's young social atmosphere and.....well, you get what it USED to mean. Lol

@@Juggalo972 well I went to a trade school for audio engineering, which is a creative art but also someone has to install speakers on the intercoms in a factory or school, security systems, stages and studios, etc. Stage hands don't have it easy either rigging and shit like that is no joke

Yeah . All that effort to go to college and to just end up getting an equivalent of a GED .Waste of money and time .

Remember 1 time I was working with a guy who was bragging about how he had a bachelor degree I music and whatnot . My reply was "And yet you're in the same position we are Knocking yourself out in a restaurant for minimum wage , At least I get to keep what I earn . How Many more payments do you owe to the university ? " Had this 1 coworker laughing her ass off and the guy just stood there dumbfounded. Priceless.

Big brother. Life in general is very challenging. Even for the happiest people. Nobody is immune to suffering. I know how you feel, as it took a long holy shit time to get where I am today. I still face alot now. I tell you this. You are many things EXCEPT A QUITTER. And know we are here for you. You got this! Living this life is easier said than done. I know that. One step at a time. Love you big bro!

Thanks for the shoutout . Totally can understand where you're coming from dealing with the struggles . Ever since my mom died and my dad being in the retirement home and dealing with my brother's issues and eveything in between it's been no bed of roses . Plus leaving my last job over some Disengenious bitch and selfish coworkers and was out of work for 5 months and where i'm at now with a year under my belt at my current job and doing the best i can to deal with things i've just learned to worry about myself , stick my nose to the grind and not give a damn about the bullshit . Things are a little crazy where i'm working now with changing of management and dealing with them bringing in people that barely understand English and trying to work with them plus they barely can get people to work where they're understaffed and calling people in . Had to pull a few extra shifts to help the situation . I'm a at the point i've learned to just put the tunnel vision on and not worry about all the drama around . Unless the situation concerns or involves me directly not my problem .As far as family goes i put the dead mom thing to rest a long time ago . Can't worry about her anymore . She was partly to blame for her situation and hopefully she's in a better place , try to be there for my dad when i can , brother imo has his own issues and needs to take accountability for them . Whether he does or not is on him . At age 50 i'm learning to be somewhat selfish for lack of a better term and only do things on my terms and if people don't like it F-ck 'Em . In your case you put your health 1st which you should . If your former place of employment wants to play the dishonesty card you're better off without them . A lot of places look to cut corners but yet they expect top quality work/results . As long as you're catering to them they maybe give a damn . in my situation if i get in that situation i just say "well if you have such a problem here's 2 options . Either step up and do the job better or let the guy (being me lol.) who's getting paid to do it handle business, but don't bitch about wtf i'm doing when you can't be bothered to even attempt to fix the problem" i don't hold my tongue at my age . If imo the situation is bs i'll say it . Managers may not like it but hey ayt least i'm making an effort . What i see that passes off as mangement is pathetic . 1 thing i've learned in 30 years is just because someone has a mangement title doesn't mean they're qualified . Either they knew somebody or just kissed a lot of asses to get there . Plus they get to where they think they're untouchable and can say whatever . Brush up on the people skills Not to get offv topic i'll just say just do you and get in the right headspace where you can go back to work and be happy or at least be tolerant of where you are . Jus realize life is a pain in the ass . Once you realize that you make the decisions on what you do or don't do . Hopefully you're doing good othewrwise . Peace , MMFWCL and Outta here .
