Hey sir I purchased the 80 ohms version before watching this video so now I’m stuck with low volume through my ps5 controller as well as through an Apple dongle, what portable amp would you recommend for me to be able to use at higher volume with my ps5 and iPhone 12 Pro Max ?

foobar2000 shows it's playing DSD now, but my dac Loxjie D30 still displays PCM. Could it be because my PC/sound card is converting the DSD to PCM?

I purchased a Sony ZSRS60BT AM/FM Radio/CD Player last Summer but I can’t find out what wattage it is. But I’ve noticed that whenever I have My Skullcandy Over the Ear headphones on and I’m listening to the FM Radio the music is very loud. But the second I pop in a CD the music is so low that I can hear people talking that are in the room with Me. So I was told about these headphones and that they will work with these headphones. But My question is : Do I need to purchase an amplifier in order to use these headphones????

ordered the 770 dude, thanks for you'r feedback! The 770 sounds like for more general use as i understand. since i searched for PC headphone.the 990 is open, so i just drop it right away. and those 250ohm ohh gosh.. 770. 80ohm is my pick! i hope i will survive with them lot of time, cause i was with the gaming G933 8 years!! they fully dead. but they was really nice pair. but i think not for the money. the wierelss feature was nice. but the sound is more important! a good one for sure! so hope the 770 will satisfy me! Anyway, 1 year past. anything changed in you'r opinion? just intresting :)

I bought and strongly recommend changing the pads for a thick over the ear one. A 90mm pad for ex.razer kraken v1 fits them perfectly.

👍 no offense, but I would have liked to be informed of the 16 or 32 ohms versions. I have a astell & kern norma , and would like to find a version, that works alright without any other material.... for soft jazz and west-cost-music...any answer ? I am 76 ys old and do not really hear all finesses. and love just one contact to my mp3. no telephone, no tv, just patience and peace.....🤜🏼🤛

I actually use my 250ohm pair that I just got with my Note9 with no dac amp anything just right off the jack. they're fantastic for listening to shows/videos/etc, music ehh not so much its pretty quiet for that. They sound great for everything, they put my old HyperX Cloud 2s to shame in every way but build quality. The DTs are still better build quality, but only by a bit.

You don't need to use DSD processor to play standard 2.8Mhz SACD. DSD processor must be used only to TRANSCODE higher sample rate DSD files such as 5.8Mhz and 11.2Mhz to lower sample rate supported by your DAC. Also note that only a few high end DACs can play DSD in native way. Most DACs simply convert it to PCM internally. This makes adjusting volume possible in digital way. So I think for budget DAC it is best to convert it in PCM right in foobar2000, selecting high quality direct 64bit DSD to PCM conversation.

do you use an amp with these

On the 80 ohm version, the sub bass will be 5-7 dB quieter, and the treble above 7 kHz is 1 dB quieter than on the 250 ohm version. Consider this when buying. I bought an 80 ohm version and there is less sub bass than I would like. This is good for mixing music, but bad for listening.

i had the 250ohms since 2014 and they withstood alot of abuse. they borke about a month ago, and im gonna get the 80ohms for christmas this year. have never used any other headphones that could compare to the sound, comfortabilty and build quality. only thing i miss that i cant find today is dt 770's with a twirled cable, which was really nice with my older ones.

bought the same today and immediately what I noticed is a very strong bass lack of soundproofing when I speak or move my head I hear creaking no isolation i can hear everything someone says in other room did i get fake beyerdynamic?
