Wow!!! I think this might be the most comprehensive resource on Cardano at present. It makes up for the 'Mastering Cardano' book that never materialised. Great work sir! I have learnt a lot from your work especially the Cardano lottery project you shared some time back. Will definitely get the book!

I'm a couple pages in and loving the book so far. It's got a lot of good info. I'll leave a review once I've read further. Thanks.

Excellent - great to hear! A review once you read the book would be ideal. Also, a repost of my X post would be greatly appreciated to spread the word x.com/lley154/status/1809639687025197423

Is the 'owner' the same as the 'admin' ?
@lawrenceley8530 Жыл бұрын
they are different roles. The admin is only used to initialize the smart contract whereas the owner is the one who can mint littercoin and mint the merchant token once the contract has been initialized.

@@lawrenceley8530 Thanks for clarifying. I was staring at the 'user journey' diagram on github. I should have read the text below it.

Thank you so much for creating this video. It's very educational: I'm learning a lot (eg. about demeter)! I'm going through the video in detail, and will have a number of questions for you. Here's my first one: round minute 21 you send 5 tAda (for collateral use) and 35 tAda (for regular spending) to the admin address. Are you doing this out of choice or out of necessity? I don't make that split and usually take the same utxo for collateral as for regular spending (up to now my collateral has never been taken away). Your way IS cleaner and safer of course: it's only 5 ADA taken away in case the collateral gets collected (assuming that the whole amount is collected for collateral, without any change returned).

Hi Willem, thanks for the feedback and good to hear you are find the video useful. The collateral should be a seperate UTXO, but doesn't have to be as high as 5 tAda (or 5 Ada in prod). I set it at this value at 5 for my bash shell scripts so I can easily identify which UTXO to use for collateral vs any other UTXOs. An correct, this collateral UTXO is unlikely to be used, but it can happen when a plutus script is executed trying to spam the network. The 35 tAda UTXO is also higher than it needs to be, but I set it at that amount so I have more than enough to cover the cost of storing the plutus script onchain as a reference script. Cheers!

Incredible work! Really excited to see Littercoin make it into production soon. Thank you Lawrence and Cardano for the support!!
