Allen is the only peak of the 46 that genuinely terrifies me. Those long slides covered in Adirondack red slime look like death. *EDIT* So far I have done Phelps and Marcy, with Cascade/Porter coming up in May and Colden via Avalanche Pass in September. If I want to do all 46, I have to do Allen, but God, the mountain looks like an injury waiting to happen.

Take this tour in the fall. The colors are amazing. In the late 70’s I was working for C&K Coal Company in the Cambria County area stripping coal. Being on top of the hills and looking out over them with the fall colors made me think of a huge alphagan coving them. It was so beautiful..

If you are a real beginner then this was amazing I've never seen a beginner pick up parallel skiing so fast. But I do suggest getting proper lessons though (I mean in general if you are a newbie). The movements with regards to skiing are not natural and as such are hard to learn just by trying to ski yourself. So either get a friend/love one that has a high level (like an advance/expert that understands and can explain these concepts to you) to teach you or just get some lessons.

Looking for insight. Question: What is so tough, or rough, about being a groundman? Starting out as the lowman. Reason I ask: I spoke to a family member who is a lineman and he said "I must warn you it's a rough hard-a$$ job and the guys treat you like s*** at first" I was a fireman and I'm not a stranger to hard work, so I'm wondering what would make him say that? He was a plumber for 15 years and also is not a stranger to hard work so I'm just curious what I'd be getting myself into or why he would say that. Thanks 🙏

This is absolutely fascinating to me. I lived in Pittsburgh for a short while when I was quite young and have always wanted to explore all areas to north, east, and south of it. Growing up I didn't do that. I now live on the West Coast and have only been back twice as an adult. It is still my plan to know the state well. I see your first footage was of Pottsville - I have been there. I love this town and towns like it. Great footage. The next two places I see are in the far north of the state and I have not been to either and they too are fascinating to see. This video popped up in my "suggested videos." I will now read more about your channel.

On the conveyor lift, I would be yelling out that "yodle" tune you hear on "The Price is Right"!! Also, another way to turn, put pressure on either big toe. Which ever big toe you use, you will turn the opposite direction.
