HOn30 is n scale track. Some call is HOn2 1/2 or HO9 or HOe.

I get really confused between HOn3 and HOn30. I think HOn3 is 36” and HOn30 is 30”. But I guess I didn’t realize 36” is 12mm and 30” is 9mm.

After seeing your presentation, I went to Amazon and looked at CRC products. Their 2-26 was described as a lubricant and that worries me. Their QD Electronic Cleaner, however, looks like it may do the trick on tracks without collecting dust/dirt. Just saying.
@HumancityJunction17 күн бұрын
The key part is the protectant, which supposedly helps with the electrical connectivity. There is a video by Ron’s Trains and Things talking about the QD Contact Cleaner that is supposedly better than the 2-26, but I am not sure that it makes a noticeable difference. I am currently of the mindset that running trains is the best track cleaner.

It hasn't changed a bit in the 35 years I've been going there. Still a complete disorganized mess. He needs a much bigger store but then you ruin the history of that shop. My dad worked on 43rd street (I work on 45th now) and I think he bought me an HO locomotive in that shop back in the early 70's or late 60's. I might have to stop by....

I really do consider my visits as a museum trip versus going to a hobby shop. The last time I was there, some items were moved around, but one aisle was completely blocked with boxes. My favorite is the HO scale brass case. There is quite the collection, but good luck trying to purchase one.

Guess I didn’t realize you were selling on eBay until seeing your last video. Did you once say you had surplus psxx’s? Will you be selling those? I sold couple tomogachi games once. Mistakenly packed items to ship, and was asked whether I’d combine shipping if she bought both. Of course I then had to unpack and repack. I felt it was too much hassle. Might rather sell at a model RR swap meet if I ever want to get rid of any excess. Although, any brass might result in better return on ebay. Thanks for the video. May your tech problems be TT gauge.

Hi there, i am very late to the party with this. I managed to brick my DT602 doing a firmware update and purchased a PR4 to try and get it to work but have had no luck. I however happen to have a Dr5000 and was wondering if you would be able to explain the steps you used to allow a firmware update through that using a PR4?
@HumancityJunctionАй бұрын
Once bricked, I ended up using a DB150 w/PR4 to unbrick it. Then I was able to use the DR5000 again for the updates. You need to have the command station connected via loconet, so connect the DR5000 to the PR4. Using Soundloader, connect the PR4 and make sure your com port is connected. Then keep trying to update. According to Digitrax it could take a few times, but it will eventually "fix" itself. Or, you can send it to Digitrax and they will update it. Or, is there a local club? They might be able to help.
@cazzaunitedАй бұрын
@@HumancityJunction Thank you for your reply its much appreciated, I will look into the DB150 and see if its a viable option for me. When I got in touch with digitrax they said for me to just send it in so im trying to exhaust all my options before sending it over there as im in the UK so will cost be a fair bit more than just the repair cost. Thank you again for your help

Great modeling on those layouts! Good to see that some scratch builder type can get into ops instead of just display/railfan style layouts. After all, without transporting goods, what’s the reason for a railroad? Liked the club layout idea of using a card with a letter designation of which track cars are to be sorted for which railroad. At least I think that’s what they were doing. I think I noted one card with a capital “R” and beneath the word Reading. Still leaning toward car cards for a future layout but looking at “shipper-driven traffic simulator” (sts) app for car forwarding.
@HumancityJunctionАй бұрын
Ken, yes, that is how the A&W operates. Each area has a designated letter, and then there are the industries/etc... within each letter. They call it the Philadelphia system, because it was adapted from a layout they saw in Philly.
