were going Akers to Pulltite in august,, the canoe rental website says its 12 miles? Im wondering if its really 12 miles? Thanks For The Great Video
@jerrykyleАй бұрын
They have one that I think is 12 miles, but the one we went on in the video was nine. Hope this helps.

p.s. It took about a leisurely four hours including a half hour stop for lunch at the cave.

Wow! This is pretty awesome! My mom and I did a rain dance with our stick on Friday and it rained on Saturday!😊

This is the second video I watched about making a rain stick. The other youtuber used nails instead of skewers. She used birdshot instead of seeds. I like your rainstick better. Keep reading if you want to know my idea. I am thinking of splitting a long straight stick long ways, hallowing out the inside, then gluing it back together. I am thinking of using pea stones(tiny peebles) inside. Am I crazy for wanting to use wood instead of bamboo? It's going to be way more work, but I already have plenty of long sticks the right diameter. If I ruin one, it can be used for firewood. I think I could hallow it out with my router.
@jerrykyle4 ай бұрын
Shoot yeah, go for it. It won't sound the same but it will be a fun rain stick. I would guess the trick would be to make the stick walls thin enough so you can hear the 'rain'. Bamboo is really dense and transmits the sound kind of like glass or tiny would. And you're right, it does sound like a lot of work! Good luck.
@alexanderlapp50484 ай бұрын
@jerrykyle Bamboo is of musical. There is a tree farm that uses long bamboos to make their trees grow straight, and when the wind blows, it makes an eerie sound.

What cabin number did you stay in?
@jerrykyle Жыл бұрын
I sure wish I knew the answer to that. I tried to see it on the cabin movie but couldn't. It wasn't the first or second or the last or next to the last. But it's probably not a big issue as I think they're all pretty cool cabins.with privacy.

Really interesting! For some reason, everyone I've known that's had a morphine hallucination always 'dream' at some point that they're going down into a cave, or a volcano etc

This cabin is not on sister bay … it is on sand bay road which is on the Lake Michigan side. The bay of sister bay is on the Green Bay side. Sand Bay is great, though.

I used my 18 gauge narrow crown staple gun 1.5" staples takes me about a minute or two to drive about 100 staples, also used dried cactus trunks don't need to hollow them out, but I'm still experimenting on placement and number of staples for sound and length of rain and different grains, one of my favorite sounds is chicken scratch!
@alexanderlapp50484 ай бұрын
What grains did you find worked the best? Would corn work? Maybe bean seeds? Does it have to be smaller? I am thinking about using pea gravel.

The cabin was rented thru Home Away which has now become either Air B&B or VRBO. It's on N. Sand Bay lane, Sister Bay.
