I always think of Maverick and him saying “I’ll hit the brakes, he’ll fly right by”, and wonder what those movie pilots could have done with the F22 and full thrust vectoring! It’s like trying to slam on the brakes in an M1A1 Abrams tank, vs an F1 car. I wonder what ol Snort could have done in Raptor!

One of many great series that were broadcasted during the early 2000s. I 'm glad that I was able to record it, when it aired, to my dvd recorder and later backed up the disks to my ext hdd. For a while the series could be seen at the PBS website until the adobe player was no longer supported. Then, up until a several months ago, the whole series could, later, be found at an archive site and I would pass the link along to others, but it has been since pulled down. I guess pbs allows the short clips, maybe to generate purchase of the series. I thought it was available, free, with an Amazon Prime membership.

Approaching the DECA at night and I only have the I don't have the slight vishen the way y'all think that we haven't and, I think I only have a couple you only have a couple seconds decide if you're going if you got the hook if you don't get the hook you have to know it immediately, if you do not feel that gooseneck that you get from the hook at a certain time then you would have put all full power on and be able to come back now this isn't the night, and tonight is only Friday to me if I'm flying a jet fighter or something if I'm on the ground or something like this

Yup, both Jell-O and Sex were in this series. So was Kevin McLaughlin (later became Commander of SFW Atlantic, flew over the funeral of President George HW Bush), Alex "Kone" Dietrich (who was Sex's wingman during the tic-tac incident), the USS Princeton (who spotted the Tic-Tac on radar) and sadly lost a sailor on that deployment, Seaman Apprentice Robert D. Macrum, and Brett Crozier (no speaking parts, but he was in the background a few times) who went on to command the USS Teddy Roosevelt during the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic. When he tried to alert command to act quickly to save his sailors from being infected he ended up in the middle of a political firestorm involving the Trump administration.

My father was RIO-ing in an F4 with his squadron leader (a MiG killer from Vietnam). After landing in the North Atlantic during a pitching deck at night, he said 'Randy...I've been shot at, I've been in dogfights, hell my plane's been on fire...and that is the most scared I've ever been in an aircraft.'.

I started listening to Jello’s podcast before I watched the series. When I heard his voice in tang few seconds of voice-over before they showed him … I knew it was him immediately-his voice is so distinctive and I’m so used to it now.
