Great video! My first thought is that this is definitely not a woman's job. I would get to the bottoma and have to immediately pee 😂

I love Les and his mental arithmetic with buyers, the buggers want us to pay them to take the opal away. Mainly because of Les his cheek and dry humerus cracks, he comes out with and Rods ok too, he's like a bag of buggies in a airport wind sock, it will blow over. So Howl's you three going, not seen much of you lot lately, on Monday nights TV at the moment, we have on, the Aussie gold hunters not on lately, your show opal hunters. But can be picked up on repeats early morning or late at night if you can keep your eyes open to four in the morning or two in the afternoon. Mind you the Aussie gold hunters season 9 has just replaced you lot about 4 weeks ago and with a new show on crystal gem hunters on at 10pm and at 11pm with Jeremy Wade he's a fish guy who hunts large fish and deep sea monsters and those fish river fish that when buses and ferries go down and there are hundreds of stories of being bitten or attacked by something big from below around the world. It's nice to see a video or two now and again of Aussie opal hunters on KZfaq. Here it's half one in the morning Love mum

I really hope to see a explosion of smaller rough stuff 2-5ct. its rough being in the usa trying to get into cutting as a hobby / hustle takes 3 -6 weeks just to get the material.

Hello from New Chum, a single shaft with a monkey fair enough but you have never been in a shaft where the bucked jams and you have no way out I always work with two 32 inch and dig between the two and use the extra fifteen or so feet in the monkey to take up the distance to the second shaft before the bucket even makes its first drop , just a thought . Yes I know you have a crew on top that can even take up the bucket on the hoist or a winch no offence meant am an old school miner grey beard here have lived this long . Sweating yes as you have no air flow maybe run some ventilation from surface but I digress guess the UTube followers are unaware of mining here in the ridge no offence meant hope none taken . I will see myself out.

Thanks for watching! Yes we had someone up the top for this very reason the whole time and have since had a second drill hole put down ready to connect them up when we get back! Also have found one of those inflatable jumping castle pumps and some pvc pipe to run some air down into the mine :)
@TheSilmarillian2 күн бұрын
@@younggunsopalhunters Nice repurposing of pump cheaper than buying an industrial one, noticed you had people up top . Second hole is the go for air flow and an extra ladder just in case. Happy mining I came back here permanently about ten years ago never looked back.
