For me in a lot of scenarios, wanting closure is wanting to know that they’ll never attempt to hurt me again. It’s wanting to know that they aren’t going to try to track me down in a year or two to finish where we left off. For me the need for closure has sooo much anxiety around it

Everyone needs closure. However it isn’t always going to come from another person. Having your ex give you the closure you need to move on is a bit of a luxury that not everyone gets. That's why it's important to find your own closure and sometimes that means not getting all the information or not saying what you wanted to say.
