When my dad was cremated I showed up early to pick up his ashes. For whatever reason, they let me in the garage where the hearse dropped off his ashes, AND the coffin we'd paid thousands to have him cremated in. The funeral business is a scam.

However the funeral director gets mixed up and takes granddad to the crematorium instead of the graveyard. Next thing people are astounded to see the kipper box has sprouted legs and is running fully aflame, down the street with granddad yelling obscenities from inside the box. You're dead body doesn't really need something comfortable. However, the funeral homes also shouldn't be charging a ridiculous amount of money for a coffin. Personally, I would rather be dropped in the ocean and let the fish feed on me, circle of Life thing. This however isn't allowed so I'll be cremated and my ashes will go into the ocean well my daughter and her husband take a cruise.

They aren't all that way... My dads casket was custom made by my uncle out of california red wood, hand stitched white/red leather interior with the outside hand carved to resemble an engine and body panels. Put my old man to rest in the baddest hot rod in the graveyard!

I just got one. I'm going to assemble it while its laying down. It might be easier to do that way. And then stand it back up after it's assembled
