Many here in the comment section won't know but this train ( now called Golden temple mail) played a huge role in evacuating hindus & Sikhs refugees from Peshawar & haripur ( hazara )durring partition. Refugees were brought from frontier province to Bombay central railway station & later shifted to Punjabi Refugee camp,sion ( Now called GTB nagar)
