I have yet to meet a single person who’s purchased a rooftop tent that’s used it more than a few times. I’ve heard complaints about them, breaking the rack structure that supports them, I’ve also heard complaints about trying to set up and tear down in the rain, which up here in the Pacific Northwest is 9 + months of steady rain. I too would prefer to sleep in back of the vehicle instead of a tent. Just for the little things, like a cougar not ripping my throat out while I’m sound asleep. Second factor is, compare cleaning and drying a HUGE tent (and compared to even large bed sheets, even a smaller tent is absolutely enormous)…with just getting a car wash.

It’s always a good day when I wake up to a YT notification saying there’s a new GG video out!! Beautiful spot! I’m eternally envious at having endless pick-your-own camping spots in some of the most spectacular scenery imaginable. For me around here, it’s pay $60 a night to be squashed in between a 100 RVs… Btw love that Dometic. It’s the best. One thing that I found incredibly helpful was adding a 3’ silicone tube to it to give me a bit more usability with the faucet. If it helps, the 1/4” /6mm ID silicone tube is the correct size. I got it on Amazon and it’s vastly improved the usability of it. Love the video as always Noah!!!
