The hardest part of probably getting the clutch pedal assembly in place. To make it easier since you're in the states of im not mistaken, look up heat lighting speed shop for the gs300 clutch assembly. Other than that basically need the transmission, a little trim of the gear lever opening in the tunnel and a drive shaft made up to length. Then figure out your handbrake, hydro or retrofit something from like a jzx or a sc300/soarer

Hi, Live in melbourne and have a gr86! Was also interested in tracking it (first car), but unsure of how to start. Do you have any advice? Thanks
@JohnnyBalazo Жыл бұрын
Hey Matt! That's excellent news, circuits are a great place to explore car performance and driver ability. It depends on the type of motorsport you might be interested in. I'd do some research into a few different types motorsport. Motorkhana, Hillclimbs, and of course track days on a full size circuit. Entry these days is getting kind of expensive, the 2 former suggestions are really cheap entry into motorsport. If you do wanna head straight into track days, there's circuits like Winton or Sandown which mostly don't have super high cornering speeds. Event organisers such as Tampered Motorsport for Sandown, or Winton has organisers like Track for Days, or Vivid Motorsports. You can sign up with them, though do note you'll require a race license which you can sign up for and pay a small amount for an entire year. Don't be afraid to ask the organisers for some help as a beginner!
