I use both depends what I’m using like my ryobi blue tooth little speaker that I love not going to be buying expensive battery for that nor the torch. I find I’m still using the cheaper batteries because I don’t care so much knocking them around. For the price difference 0ver the extra 10 min well worth it and if ryobi changed there batteries for some reason I would go back to Mikita or something else.

I still have about 30x or so 580-8G cards I should have sold, ( for that matter, also about 30x GTX 1070's also ), I have replaced them with 30 series cards, and a few 2080's which on certain coins still seem to out perform some 30 series cards. I had hoped one last up cycle would increase there value; foray, no joy there. The remaining option is to sell them as budget gaming cards since they can still run aproximately 12,000 class A game titles; or 60 the fps @ 1080p; when I used to run them in a gaming rig; I always ran two, (2) in crossfire mode; or the Geforce cards bridged. I also have about 30x RX5700 XT's that were doing well on Kawpow algo's. I am currently only running a few ASIC units & about 10x FPGA units; and a FLUX node via MCap; which for an undetermined reason; it bugs out every 40 days or so and had to be reset. Thanks for the video content. Peace

I purchased a Team group EX2 2GB SSD two years ago from Newegg. Last month it died (still under warranty) and I got an RMA number from them. It arrived two weeks ago, as confirmed by the USPS tracking number. Team Group apparently lost it and is now refusing to honor the warranty, claiming that their US affiliate has to confirm it's arrival, in spite of the fact that the USPS has clearly confirmed it. I reported this to Newegg and they refused to even contact them, claiming that Team Group has to first admit that they lost the drive, something they are refusing to do. I have never seen customer service quite this bad.

Thank you for this video. The Walmart listing does mention "Maximum Air Volume: 8200 CFM" in the "Specifications" section, along with other information, though I too am suspicious of tall claims on most of these products. Interestingly, Walmart mentions the weight as 30 lb whereas Amazon at 32.4 lb - I wonder if there's a difference in material or the motor, despite the product images looking identical. Or perhaps even the weight has to be taken with a grain of salt, adding or subtracting ~5% to the listed amount. I am considering purchasing a fan for home use - high-intensity VR gaming - and am considering these fans. How "focused" (vs diffused) would you say the airflow is? Would one feel a good amount of airflow, say at a distance of 20 feet from the fan? My Hurricane box fan (with a 4 inch Merv 13 filter taped to its back) can barely be felt at anything over 10 feet. 1. Hyper Tough 24" DC Drum Fan - $124 now; 0.16 HP; max CFM claimed 8200; probably too big and unwieldy for home use 2. Hyper Tough 20" DC Drum Fan - $88 now; 0.13 HP; max CFM claimed 6200; the equivalent iLiving one on Amazon and Home Depot claims a max CFM of 5700 3. Hyper Tough 20" AC Drum Fan - $69 now; 0.25 HP; max CFM claimed 7000; the equivalent HiCFM one on Amazon and Home Depot claims a max CFM of 6300; has a few reviews on KZfaq which attest to its efficacy 4. Vornado or Dreo DC "air circulator" - in the $100 range; max CFM in the 1000 - 1500 range, possibly true; smaller; quieter; claim to focus airflow up to 100 feet (due to blade and grill design)
@imaginariumpictures
@imaginariumpictures Ай бұрын
I must admit now I do see where it references the CFM, however I would question the accuracy. I do believe one would feel the air flow at 20', but it will be diffused. Thanks for sharing.
@kiranwayne
@kiranwayne Ай бұрын
@@imaginariumpictures So I purchased one each of Hyper Tough 20 inch DC and AC fans. Both fans are fairly focused. I like the DC fan (6200 max CFM claimed) for its quietness and infinitely adjustable speed, but the AC fan (7000 max CFM claimed) feels at least twice as powerful in terms of air flow (at max speed on both fans), though it has only 3 speeds to choose from and is much noisier at all speeds. Based on your test where the 24 inch DC fan had a max CFM about half the advertised value, I would assume the 20 inch DC fan probably tops out at about 3000 CFM, whereas the AC fan is probably in the 6000-7000 CFM range at its highest speed setting.

That's good question and there's no easy answer. The short answer is nearly nothing is profitable, to the extent that we would get excited about. The strategy that should be practiced is diversify and hold. The current Gen cards from Nvidia are going to be good on algos such as KarlsenHash low power draw (keep your energy cost down) and there's a number of projects currently running it. PyrinHash is also another consideration because of efficiency. In regards to a project that has demonstrated growth and an active roadmap for future opportunities look at Flux. (I know my answer was broad, but that is the state of the market.)

i bought a knockoff 18v 4ah Ryobi few years ago and had very good luck with it. I bought a pair about 2 months ago from Amazon (DTK brand) and while both ran my drill one would not recharge so back they went. I ordered a different brand pair from Amazon and neither one of these would accept a charge from my Ryobi charger. i Know the charger is good but 3 of the 4 4ah cells would not recharge and were labeled as bad by the Ryobi charger. I then found a pair of genuine Ryobi 4ah batteries and those ran the drill and accepted a recharge. Although the knockoff cels were a different brand you could tell they were made by the same outfit - a 75% failure rate tells my that outfit does not know what they are doing. I'd be very leery about knockoff ryobi batteries. I doubt the knockoffs are using the same quality cells so even if they do work they will npt last as long.

Owned the Generic ones for several years now, still good, When you can get 4 for the price of one, you can run multiple tools. Maybe around 25% per battery but when you get 75% more batterys, it is a real no-brainer, the First battery offers 75% of the original, but then you have 75% x4 = 300% more for the same price, also the most important point, your still using the tool when the real battery has run out and charging, you still have a battery or two ready to go.

I still use them, but i was able to run the 4GB rx580 saphire nitro version. The big issue with 4GB cards is you cannot mine even RVN now because of the dag file size. I opted out o mine CLORE using simplemining with teamredminer and getting 14 mhs per card stable. One rig with 13 cards can return about 2.5 to 3$ a day (about 14 clore at today price). If electricity costs are not a concern you can squeeze a little bit out of the RX580 4GB cards yet.

The fact it has an EXTERNAL adaptor now is simply a cost cutting measure. The previous fans that could plug into an extension cord had an internal rectifier. All Ryobi fans that can run on a battery are DC only fans. This fan is also not brushless so it will eventually stop working when the brushes wear out. Probably right after the three year warranty is up. The 40V model has a brushless motor. This should be much more reliable, but if a person has a sizeable investment in 18V tools and batteries this isn’t a great path either. The best fan in their lineup is the smaller misting type fans. They move decent air for a personal/kids sports team type device. They are decently priced when on sale and run for a long time on high with a 4ah battery, If the 14v fan was $79-99 then it would be a better investment. 55w on high isn’t really very efficient. Many box fans that are 20” can do that or better and move MORE air. Most of those box fans are going to cost under $40. Battery option is the ONLY feature that makes this fan attractive.

You need to relax lol. If someone has a bunch of 18v tools and are invested in the lineup, and just needs a portable fan every now and then, it's just fine. "The 40v line is better" lol. Considering the price it better be. For the price of one 40volt battery, you could buy 2 or 3 of these fans. That argument has no substance here. Might as well go compare a Ferrair to a Honda Civic. Brushless is more efficient, but longevity isn't measured in efficiency. I have brushed tools that are going long after a decade. I have this fan. And it's fine for what I need it to do.
@notmethanks816
@notmethanks816 Ай бұрын
@@bmir89 I think you need to take your own advice. Calm down. Most people are not willing to drop $150 on a tool only FAN. Losing the power adapter is a very real possibility when it is external to the fan. There is a reason that Ryobi went back to internal rectifiers on the new 40V brushless fan. The feedback was my own impression of the VALUE of this fan (I have two of them given to me as gifts). I don't think I would pay full price for these. The value is not there for me. I have 6 kids in sports and these are used primarily by them. Once batteries are factored in this is a $200 plus investment for a FAN. If someone already has batteries then it might be an easier choice, but at full price it is expensive for what it is. $79-$99 is about the correct price.
