My flamingo plant is growing a lot, and getting very tall. It has nine blooming flower-petals, and looks healthy. The problem is that its getting to tall and heavy, and cant stand up without support. If i remove the support it will tip over and break. How to fix it? Repotting. But the heavy parts are so far up, så I surely can't bury half the plant?

You can cut at least a third off the bottom of plants like that if you want to keep a full plant and the same size pot . Works a treat .

I love the string of pearls ❤ It's such a unique plant and looks stunning anywhere. It was tough to learn the growth habits of this guy but with enough practice and patience I've been able to keep mine healthy and thriving, finally lol. They can be so picky especially in my climate here in florida

How did you get it to flower?
@HouseplantHacks
@HouseplantHacks 3 күн бұрын
Just time and luck I think, it takes some years for the plant to become mature enough to flower.

No more beautiful a plant than this one and it begs to be killed! I adore this plant and yes, I killed it. So sad.

The flowers of this plant died :( I water it every week! And they are not in the full sun spot. Will the flowers grow back? I should try to do the mist.

Great vid….. How often do you change the soil? Also, I can’t find the link to the Liquid Gold Leaf feed you mentioned?
@HouseplantHacks
@HouseplantHacks 4 күн бұрын
It’s more about the roots getting pot bound, this can happen within 1-2 years, keep an eye out for roots growing out the bottom of the pot then change the soil and the pot at this time. The link for the liquid gold leaf is now in the description. Thanks for the reminder. Andy

I got one for $9.99 cdn from a store called Canadian Tire. It has a pup growing off, the both had no water, but dry soil. Gave them a drink in the pitchers. How do I tell if it’s flowered or not?

Am not sure if I have this plant or it’s a hosta . It has a similar pattern but more darker . Am having trouble with a little crispy leaf but little brown spots under the leaves , is this due to overwatering? I was watering every other day but now 1-2 a week . Got it in a shaded window but open the window on it daily

I was looking for some information about jasminum polyanthum, i planted one in my garden 4 years ago (south west of France) and this year i have currently a second flowering, i love it, it's not just few flowers it's really a second flowering, even more than the first one. Weather was very wet this springtime and not very warm. Have you heard about another flowering on this jasminum ? Can't find any information about it...

I got one last May, it was in a pot with 4 other plants. I removed them all and placed them separately. I didn’t even know what it was until I researched! I LOVE it! At first I did overlook her, as I didn’t know! She survived, and I now want to try to propagate, because I do not want to lose her! I think it’s my favorite tradescantia!

I am trying to find out the name of a plant I bought at a Walmart Garden center that apparently had the wrong name labeled on it. It has an UPRIGHT growth of dark purple and green leaves. They are much darker than this plant and they don't grow the same. Mine are much more vertical. They are dark green on the top, dark purple on the bottom, oval shaped leaves and have tiny star shaped flowers that grow out from where the leaves join together.

Hung a bug zapper lite over my plants for 2 months. The zaps stopped, so I took lite down! No gnats for over a year now! Dont forget to empty the dead ones from the bottom tray! 😊

Definitely the best choice of pots! Just found your channel and am enjoying immensely. A young friend at work gave me several Portulacaria startings that he had rooted and he mentioned that some folks craft them into Bonsai. And then Fate brought me here! 🤗 And I have to say that I really appreciate your friendly style and presentation. Thank you for sharing.

Do you have a Bromelaid propagation update from about three years ago? Just got my first guzmania and it’s already pretty mature. Should be getting pups very soon. Seeing if what you did worked I guess. Thanks in advance if you do do an update on them.

Do you think an east facing window would be enough light with just morning sun? Or would west for afternoon/evening be better? I don't have a south facing anyway

Maybe you wont see this question I recently started growing indoor plants. I got a string of pearls last fall. I live in santa fe NM. Very dry here and cold in the winter. My plant was doing pretty good during the winter and now its looking terrible. Dried up and brown strings. Maybe my lighting is the problem. It never did grow much tho. Do you have some advise?

As I was given this plant as a gift but it came with no name. It took awhile to track it down as I thought I would repot it. Thankfully I found you video, i'm not going to touch it now! As i grow a few Air plants I now understand why It was given to me, and its beautiful leaves will look amazing with my collection So thank you I now I know how to care for it. The flower is just lovely, excited to seeing that ☺

So I bought mine about 2-3 weeks ago (it was a gift otherwise I would just go back to the same nursery myself) and complain they sold on after it flowered and in its dying cycle as I never got to see any flower) and the colored leaves are Already turning brown. But no pups have grown. Will the pups shoot out after the mother plant flowers and starts to go brown or do you think the nurse took those pups away from me for themselves? 😮 Is this plant useless now?
