A male ballet dancer, after a year and a half of special training, easily becomes an excellent scout. The reverse from intelligence specialists to ballet dancers is almost impossible.

The ballet "Le Corsaire" is in fact a world masterpiece. But this is a performance, this particular cardeballet, in which, all the first solos or primas, it's a miracle. I've watched it 12 times and will watch it 12 times. May God bless these condemned and absolutely beautiful and perfect virgins. May heaven give joy and prosperity to the children of these ballerinas, for the hellish work of their parents.

Marinsky ballerinas dance circles around NYCB. (And let's not even mention ABT. Especially now that they don't just poach Russian dancers for their top spots, filling them with media-hyped ones lacking the most basic technique)

I was fortunate enough to see him take class at the Royal Ballet School yesterday. He's very attentive to his students and picks out the good to praise and the not so good to provide constructive criticism. The young men he was tutoring were pre professional and of a very high standard. Wonderful teacher.

みんな黒髪なのはトルコの後宮だからと途中で気が付きました。 他の知っている舞台では主役以外は金髪の鬘だったので印象が全く違いますね。 それにしても舞台狭しとたくさんのダンサーが詰め込まれているし、ソロを踊るダンサーもゴールドバレエと同じ白い衣装でよく目を凝らさないとわからない場面でした。

I can't believe she never became a ballerina of the Mariinsky. She certainly deserved it a lot more than many that have been promoted ahead of her. Oh and he tempo is just right. It's just that we've gotten used to dancers slowing everything down so much that every time we encounter a more musically correct tempo it strikes us as "rushed".
