Hello could help me with what materials I will need for a 6x5 from Costco wood, screws etc. also should I use 4 or 8 (4-in W x 8-in H x 16-in L Concrete Blocks also I noticed you used 2 4x4 posts why not 4? Any help is greatly appreciated Thank you
@MendandMake
@MendandMake Ай бұрын
I used 8 ft 2x6 boards because I wanted it more sturdy than plywood because plywood gives and I’m a big dude. I wanted an 8x8 platform because my shed was 8x6 you can use those concrete blocks if you want but make sure your level on all sides by either digging or using some gravel. I used only 2 4x4 because I just wanted my 2 x6 frame off the ground. I could have used 4 4x4s but only needed 2
@MendandMake
@MendandMake Ай бұрын
Use 2 1/2 inch construction screws , I would use the same for your frame, 2x6 frame but I would actually use plywood for your because it’s not a lot of sq ft with just a 6x5. Just brace it well with the frame with the boards 16 inches on center

Love the review just wanted to inform you that the fourth setting on the impact driver is not auto stop ( at least not in wood ) that is for sheet metal fasteners. something that is useful to individuals like myself who normally runs self tappers into sheet metal on duck work, etc. it’s not for woodworking. The symbol on the fourth setting resembles a self tapping screw if you notice. Drive it into sheet metal with self tapping screws, preferably hex head, and you’ll see a difference in the function. Dewalt favors wood workers when it comes to their impacts, idk if they still do it but their 4th setting would slow the impacts down towards the end of the drive to allow a flush finish.

Nice! Another method is to grab the knob firmly with a pair of 16" Channelocks and twist. The knob will break off, and screwdriver tip can insert in the rectangular (or D shaped) hole in the latch portion to open it right up.
