(Here it’s pretty obvious). But if you disconnect for whatever reason it should count as a loss whether it was intentional or not.

technically not, they traded and he's able to recover faster giving him more time to input the EWGF. Doesn't need to be frame perfect. But opportunity best taken advantage of when it presents itself.

Dude, with all due respect the issue here is not my playstyle for this single round for Christ’s sake. It’s that my opponent disconnected just before he lost, the match did not even count I didn’t get the win and he just raised his disconnection rate with no penalty imposed.

It depends on your perspective towards her. For me you have to master EWGF and be able to guess opponents reactions in order to use her stances and mix ups of stances accordingly. You should also ABUSE ff2/Raiden. It’s her best move by far.

Greatly designed character but really is spammy too imo, I mean you dont need the mishima stuff at all and can get far with her which is a bit ehh for me

@@clavicusvile1328 you definitely do not need to stay true to electrics and wavedash, because technically the only reason you need wavedash for example is to change the timings for a hellsweep. Electrics for whiff punish or as I like to do, sidestep electric. There is no true 50-50 here(hs-iws2 for example for Devil Jin or hs-ff3/iws2/twin pistons for Kaz). She is mid heavy mix up oriented but her shenanigans are not such a big deal trust me. Most of them get wrecked by power crush, standing neutral or ducking. And the reward is always in your favour.

@@clavicusvile1328 for me ewgf + awesome ff2 = another version of Hei. Hence his daughter. She just has to stay in your face in order to win and rush down, she is mix up/poke heavy. This style is somehow opposing to classic Mishima style.

So true. Don't pay attention to ranks. I've also seen Devil Jins and Jins in Tekken Ranks disconnect in.....casuals-quick matches...believe it or not. Other than that, I haven't seen Reina in top 8s.....Only Joka pulled her out in the last match of the Grand Finals in Baaz Gauntlet in Pakistan. I really don't know how people think she's that easy to play. She's a Mishima. I see many more Jins than Reinas in tournaments.

She's pretty easy. She's built for access similar to Jin. The problem is her whole gameplay revolves are FF+2 which is 12 frames and lets you basically spam such a powerful mid tool for free with 4-5 different mixups that require different punishes - a Mishima's dream. She has bad lows but is overtuned in that department. Her FF+2 should be 14-15f I think. She has a lot of easy mode setups so you don't need to rely to heavily on wavedash mixups/electric whiff punish compared to kazuya and devil Jin (and Jin too).

@@Zeridium agreed, she's a mid heavy (although mix up oriented due to ff2~sentai) Mishima, just like her father. I abuse electrics with her, just like D Jin and Kaz. When I say abuse, I mean it. But all Reinas I've met online rely more on ff2 and stances-mix ups rather than wavedash/ewgfs. In general I like her a lot. Who are your mains?

I read the stuff online about her then take that into consideration and try to play in a more respectful way. Only to be blown up by people doing the exact thing with their character that i'm being told not to do with mine.

Thank you…other than that, to be honest with you I tried her for the past two months just because she’s a Mishima and has better pressure options than the devils, both of whom I’m somehow bored of using after all those years. I don’t find her gimmicky at all, I play her the same way I played Heihachi. Spamming electrics and ff2s. It’s just that she has options after her stances so I try them as well. I find Victor and Azucena much more annoying than her to be played against. King too. I don’t think there is a single Mishima in this game that is annoying to play against to be honest.

Gameplay wise, even though this is not the objective here, he could duck the first throw after wr3 and full launch punish me, or duck the wr4 afterwards and full launch punish me too. Spamming him with what ? ff2? This is Reina’s best move by far, of course I will spam it. They are completely different games and this has become way too aggressive but I’m ok with that. What I’m not at all ok with, is the fact that they can get away with plugging once twice or how much they want to and just have the resulting disconnection rate. if you want to do it, do it, but give me the win. Now the match did not even count. That kills my momentum. Other than that, please use your main account to write a comment.

@@NapoleonKonstantinopoulos yeah plugging isn't cool and should be punished by temporarily ban. But still you're only using short frame attacks, dashing forward and grabbing. This gotta be the most unsatisfying, unrewarding gameplay ever. In t7 punishing wayyy more important than just pressuring

How should I use her? Satisfying is winning. Grabs are very strong in this game, of course I’ll use them.

Thanks, but I don’t care what ‘everyone’ does. The point for me was df2~4 ewgfs into screw and df14 to connect after 31 cancel(much more difficult than it seems). Either way, under the current patch this combo will not do the same damage because of the clean hit heavens gate nerf.

Yes you're right. u1+2 laser can be added after floor explosion, but I was lazy enough to try it, after I landed this one! It becomes nearly a death combo and I think if you do up laser instead of the second electric and finish the combo in the way you mentioned, it rights 180 exactly.
